“Stayed here for New Years. We booked a room for 2 with the balcony and requested to get a room with city view so we could see the Fireworks. We got what we asked for. Room was beautiful, very clean & sound proof. Everything we needed was there. Room service was amazing. Pool, food, drinks with in the hotel were fantastic. The best bed I've ever slept in! So luxurious, felt like you were on cloud 9. Even the Shower was Fantastic! Water pressure was great. Body wash, Shampoo, Conditioner & Body lotion were great quality & smelled amazing. They were in large 500ml bottles with pumps, you'd never run out. I would buy them for home if they sold them. Anything we needed was brought up to our room. Lots of food places walking distance from the hotel. On new years, felt like we were part of a huge New Years party. On the balcony we could see appartments and felt like whole Melbourne was screaming Happy New Year! Watching Fireworks! Great atmosphere to celebrate 2024! Ones we closed the balcony doors, we were away from it all & couldn't hear anyone. Absolutely 5 stars stay! Thank you to all Booking, Reception, Room Service & Restaurant staff for making our stay so fantastic. “Apartments are very spacious and staff are friendly and willing to help. Great location, close to great restaurants and easy to get on trams. Only down side is the air-conditioning did not work and the room was very warm. Staff acknowledged Air con was not working and they gave us a pedestal fan ( obviously this happens regularly as they had the fans ready to go) which did not help as the room had heated up over the day. We shifted to another room and was reassured that the Air con in this room was working, which it wasn't. This room was just as warm. We weren't the only ones having trouble with the temperature of rooms. As I was asking at the front desk about temperature they received a call from another guest stating their AC was not working. It was as shame this happened as everything else at the apartments was excellent and the staff tried the best the could.”

“Upon entering the hotel, an immediate sense of discomfort overwhelmed us, starting with an unprepared check-in at 2:00 pm. The lifts, not meeting safety standards were a real concern which added to the uneasy feeling. Once in our rooms, the atmosphere was dreary, with a pervasive smell of smoke masked by cheap perfume. The soft, uncomfortable beds and a non-functional room phone further marred our experience. Booked three rooms, and each fell short of satisfaction. Despite the unsatisfactory conditions and a departure in less than an hour, the hotel insisted on charging the full fare upon cancellation. This policy, combined with the disappointing experience, adds to the overall dissatisfaction with the establishment. The situation was truly disheartening. Despite requesting a room change due to these issues, the inspection merely involved more deodorant spraying. The breaking point was a dirty dishwasher, leading us to leave this disappointing establishment. This hotel warrants serious reconsideration.”

“Hotel is well located and room was nice and spacious. However, the room was dusty and lacked amenities like disposable toothbrush. Also, it didn't have a minibar. Instead, it had a QR code to scan and order via room service between certain hours. That is odd and inconvenient as it defeats the purpose of having snacks and drinks at disposal during odd hours. The hotel doesn't have pool either. Lastly, and most importantly, the hotel advertises it has spa and jacuzzi under amenities, but it turner out this was misleading as it turned out that they are available in selected rooms only. So, it was quite disappointing!”

“The "automatic" check in was problematic - declining 2 credit cards several times. Quite stressful considering the situation of trying to book in and possibly not being accepted. I then went to one of the check in staff for help. He was very cheerful and helpful, and allayed my stress and fears. [I wish I kept his name to give credit where it was due. Thank you, kind and cheerful Sir.] The card was accepted via the manual method and check-in proceeded. The room was very clean and well kept, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast (level 2) was more than could be asked for, and the friendliness of the staff again allowed for great start to the day. The hotel is in a relatively quiet location and that also allows for a good night's sleep.”

“Robert Burns may look like your standard Northside pub on the outside, but on the inside is a cute, cosy dining room serving "elevated pub fare" plus great cocktails. The space is warm and a welcome a mix of vintage and contemporary, featuring wicker seating and tartar floors and walls. The menu is large and heavily Italian-inspired, with sections for veggies, pastas, proteins and small plates. The vegetarian options are scattered around the menu so ask if you need guidance. I was advised to try the green tomato salad which is light and fresh and served with straciatella, one of my favourite cheeses. I was also recommended the cauliflower, which is incredible. It's roasted to a point where it becomes smoky but not too crisp and served with salad, roasted asparagus, pecorino and hazelnuts which add a great texture. For mains, I tried the super soft and fluffy gnocchi which almost had a filled dumpling consistency. While lots of pub gnocchi can be too dense and lacking flavour, this one had perfect amount of both. My partner enjoyed a parma which he also voucher for heavily. If you eat seafood, the squid is beautifully presented and apparently quite good as well. From the cocktail list, I can recommend the Pink Lady and the Robbie Burns Sour - both light and sweet and fruity and refreshing.”

“Stayed there a few weeks ago and it has taken me a while to work out how to phrase it. The rooms were so gross. There was over 20 hairs in the bed. They refused to change the sheets saying it wasn’t there job. Handed me one sheet to change the bedding, had to ask for two More sheets.None of which was the right size and also ask for pillow slips. I asked for a new room only to find out the new bed had hair between the sheets also. So terrible. The next night they upgraded me to a nicer suite. No apology or taking ownership for the issue. I would have expected to offer to give money back. Very surprising. And sad. We spent thousands renting their conference space which was handled poorly. Didn’t even tell us we had extra space available to us. The large conference room was nice though and someone was there to help us when needed. I get that they were embarrassed possibly but go out of your way for the customer when it is so clear that you have done wrong.”

“I stayed here when I went to see the Foo Fighters in Dec 23. The room had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Suited us just fine. The room was clean and had all we needed for a night stay in the city. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The smell of the suits was amazing. It was the first thing I noticed when I first entered the building. The parking was amazing with an elevator taking our car to the 7th floor. The location was perfect. I enjoyed it so much that I am staying here again when I see Pink in Feb 24. The only thing that really bothered me was the vibration of the fan on the wall in the bedroom. Too loud to have on when you are trying to sleep.”

“One of the best hotel I've stayed. We caught a red-eye flight and only got two hours of sleep. When we arrived at the hotel at 6am, I thought that we wouldn't be able to check in until 3pm. I was prepared to drop our bags and try to stay awake until check-in time. However, the front desk staff were excellent. They had a room available and allowed us to check in early, which was a lifesaver, especially with a 7-year-old who was exhausted from the flight. We stayed for six days, and the room was clean, and the location was excellent. The hotel is situated in the city, with some shops open until 1am. If you're hungry at night, you can grab food just by walking around. Although the hotel is located in a busy area, the room was quiet. My son could sleep soundly and comfortably. The location is very convenient, as it is close to the tram and a tram line that is near the Melbourne Zoo. The swimming pool was clean, and there is a free laundry facility too, which was a bonus because I didn't have to do loads of laundry when we returned from our holiday.”
