“We recently celebrated our anniversary this past weekend at the Thompson Chicago and from the moment I stepped foot into the hotel I was taken care of. Both front desk agents Jasmine and Damazo went over and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing stay and celebration. We ended up selecting the King Corner Suite which was very spacious with a great view. The bathroom was probably one of my favorites with stairs that led to a huge soaking tub overlooking the city. Everything was very modern and up to date! We'll definitely be returning and highly recommend the Thompson Chicago!”

“I’m highly disappointed in the front desk, concierge. They were so rude over the phone. My birthday is tomorrow and I was really look to booking. I called because the website lets you review room and check availability. I called and spoke with the agent. When I inquired about booking she mentioned an application prior to. I said okay and started to ask about the membership cost because I didn’t see it online and that it allowed me to start the booking process. She interrupted me while I completing my sentence. I asked if I was able to book without the membership, she hangs up the phone. I called back. She answers with “Hold please”. I’ve waited and the. She ask did I need , I began to explain my birthday is tomorrow 9/29 and if there was the membership cost. She interrupts me again stating “It’s on the website did you read it?” And responded with “And I just said I didn’t see the membership cost, did you hear me?” I will take my $350 come where else. That lady was just rude. I don’t understand how when I’m about to spend my hard earned money. Smh I’m pissed”

“We had a lovely weekend. The upgrade to a junior suite added to the comfort in our dog friendly room. Clean and modern. The check-in staff, the door staff were so lovely and helpful. Ordered room service lunch. The prime burger and chicken sandwich were very good. Perfect French fries. Very quick and friendly restaurant staff. Hotel valet parking available, but since we did not need to use the car during our stay, we used SpotHero to reserve a spot with valet service. A bit cheaper. Washington Square is an easy two blocks away to take the dogs out. Pretty quiet, safe neighborhood feel. We will definitely stay here in the future.”

We had our families stay here during our wedding weekend and it was the perfect oasis. The living area is spacious and cozy allowing us to chat over coffee or a late night drink. The rooms are impeccably decorated and large to fit all our siblings and parents. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff was so friendly. Our whole family agreed that the weekend would not have been the same without the Publishing House. Highly recommend booking the house for a special event!”

“I booked a corner suite and we stayed on the 22nd floor. Great views of the city! The room was essentially a studio apartment, so it was a bit small. It had a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, counter-top stove, microwave, toaster, and everything you need to prepare a full meal. I discovered the coffee maker was broken when trying to use it. This seems to be a theme with Hilton hotels. Leaving broken appliances in the rooms for guests to frustrate over. There was a half drank bottle of water between the bed and nightstand, not ours, housekeeping missed it between prior cleanings. Not that big of a deal. It could have been worse, like left over food. All hotel staff we encountered were friendly. Breakfast was included with our stay. Parking could not have been easier as the garage is the first 3 floors of the hotel. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and are planning a trip back (with the kids next time).”

“Wonderful experience all the way around, and we hope to return soon. The unit was EXACTLY as pictured, and was IMMACULATELY clean. Building was quiet and location seemed safe and secure. My wife and I (both retired) felt comfortable walking in the neighborhood, there were lots of residents out walking their dogs at all hours of the day. Some reviews mentioned the narrow window blinds let in too much light but it wasn't an issue in our unit; but full disclosure, our bedroom window faced north and December skies were cloudy for our 5 night stay. The unit was well stocked with coffee, tea, linens, towels, paper towels/tissues, cleaning supplies, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soaps, etc. Basically, everything was exactly as advertised and we had no reason to engage the Kasa help desk for assistance. Check-in/out instructions were very clear and easy to follow.”

“I think this is my first bad experience at a Hyatt hotel I am sad to say. Front desk staff was amazing on check in and to explain my issues. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the feel overall of the room felt like a motel 6. We had two bathrooms but one was clogged when we arrived, the other constantly ran all night which kept us up. We tried to call maintenance for over an hour but the line was busy and we never got through to anyone. We ended up shutting off the water of the clogged toilet. We would have done that on the running toilet but that was our only working toilet with 5 of us. I told someone in the morning at the front desk and he apologized. We were here for a Cheer. Competition at the NOW Arena and did not sleep well or have a good overall experience. I love many things about Hyatt hotels and up until now our experiences have been positive. The only thing that brought the service score up was the front desk staff.”

“I am glad to book this hotel through a 3rd party. There weren't any issues with checking in knowing that I came a little early. I booked a room with a queen bed. It was just right. The bed is very comfortable and with enough pillows to make your sleep comfy. All the necessary toiletries were provided. I guess if you need anything, all you have to do is call the front desk. The hotel is very close to the Belmont red line station. There's a lot of restaurants nearby. My overall stay is great. I will definitely book this hotel again when I am in uptown/downtown Chicago.”

In addition, needing to scan your room card to access the hotel and use the elevator added an additional level of security which I appreciated. “Was in Chicago for a concert, stayed two nights. I got early check in as early as 10 am! Self check in is really easy and there’s an attendant there to help you if needed. I got to pick my room which was really nice. The room was good! Nice shower, counter, view. The lights, blinds, and curtains were a really neat feature too. My only complaint over all is that the bed was REALLY stiff, didn’t give me to much trouble because of how exhausted I was both days when I finally got to sleep. Didn’t really wake up with back pain but I can see why someone would! Gabby was AMAZING. She was so kind to me and amazing to talk to. She gave me good advice on which room to get and kept up a really good conversation. The location is GOOD! Very walkable to just about everything. Would stay again, would just bring my mattress topper😂 Overall, it’s a lot better than what I paid for. My mother was concerned when I told her I was staying for two nights in downtown Chicago at only 248$ TOTAL, but I trusted the reviews I had seen before hand.”

“Each of the front desk employees I encountered were helpful and courteous. We arrived early and they were very kind when arranging to hold our luggage. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We did try out the hotel restaurant when in need of a quick bite to eat. Food was pretty standard, it gets the job done. There are conveniently located bus and train stops nearby, making trips into the city easy and affordable. Stayed here for an event at the United Center, which was within walking distance. Hotel is a bit pricey but I figure just about any place near the city would be as well. All in all I enjoyed the stay.”
