“We booked this place specifically because it was downtown, had parking, laundry, large rooms, and hardwood floors. Parking was full. Usually if this is likely to happen, the listing will say "limited parking", but it did not. There was no public laundry room. You could give your stuff to housekeeping but they wanted to charge per item, between 4-11€, which is an extremely high price for a full bag of laundry. We booked the comfort room plus, but they gave us the twin room, and said it would still be the same price. Supposedly they are allowed to give you a room with a higher ceiling and charge for a larger room. They said only the corner rooms look like the photos. The hardwood floors were very nice and it didn't have the usual hotel stink, but the pillows had a light scalp smell and there were a few small hair clippings under the blanket. Also, the hair dryer shuts off after about a minute of use and you have to wait 5-10 minutes to use it again.”

Especially whoever made the packed lunches for us when we had to miss breakfast and leave in the early hours of the morning. A little out of the way of the center of Dresden if you don't have a car, but a 20-30 minute tram/bus journey there and back is no problem for most people.”

“PROS · The room was very well equipped and much larger than expected. We really liked having a small balcony, the bathroom was huge and even had a jacuzzi/sauna. The kitchen had everything you needed. The appliances were good brands/all clean and in good condition. The apartment was also very very big. Location is excellent. Easy to walk to the old historic city centre. Public transport is easily accessible from here. There is a large city Rewe up the road as well. Parking is easy with the underground parking garage, also relatively cheap for city parking at 14€ per day. For a short stay this a normal price. Overall, we were really impressed with the hotel generally and would definitely stay again. CONS · The room we had did not have air conditioning (I know it's Germany) but it was a 35 degree weekend. There was also no fan in the room, I am very surprised by this as the street is very loud so you can't have the windows open the whole time. There was also not very good airflow when the windows were open. On one of the days we were there the outside temperature was 22 degrees, yet even with the windows open the apartment was always above 26 degrees.”

“Very convenient location near the train station. Nice people working the concierge, check-in and check-out was quick. Rooms are small and no-frills, but still quite cute and very clean with a comfy bed and little couch. I really liked the record/music theme of the room and the cute little disco ball hanging from the ceiling. It was also quiet. I was only staying a single night for business in Dresden, and felt safe here. If you're looking for a luxurious stay, this hotel is likely not for you. But, if you need a practical and reasonably priced place to stay, and don't want to stay in a hostel, this is a great choice.”

My dog stayed in my room with me which was great but they didn't provide anything extra for dogs, for example there was no where around the whole block to put dog poo once you had picked up. Would be very useful if they but a special bin outside the hotel and maybe provided drinking bowls.”

“The room was ok, although very warm. That could be attributed to the weather though. Pity no airco was available. The pillows of the bed aren't of a high quality. I woke up one morning where my bed was full of fluffs coming from the pillow I slept on. The Waldpark nearby invited me to a walk each morning. The tram provided a quick connection to the center. What astounded me as a solo traveler that in the breakfast room I was directed by the male chef to a small mediocre table because the table I was originally on for the whole week was intended for three people. I never saw enough people the whole week to justify such an attitude, certainly considering the amount of money I have to pay. Clearly this hotel need some improvement for solo travellers. I took this hotel on recommandation of my sister and brother in law and because it was nearest to my family, but I reconsider the next time.”
