“I have stayed at this property multiple times over the last ten years or so. This last visit will be my last time. I'll start with the positives. The location is still great being near the beach. Overall, the property staff are very focused on keeping the grounds clean and are all courteous. The spa is great and Robert is a fantastic masseur. On to the negatives. I booked four nights in early November and got a rate of $260 per night. A few weeks ago, I learned that I could extend my stay an extra night with no work conflicts. I called the hotel and asked if I could add one additional night to my stay in a room that wouldn't require moving. They told me that for the fourth night, I would need to pay $450! I don't understand why as a repeat customer and someone who had already booked four nights, they couldn't just honor the rate I was offered initially. Well they couldn't/didn't. Fine. I was supposed to check out Monday, 1/8 so on Sunday I inquired if I could arrange a late check-out. I was told no because someone was checking into my room later on Sunday. What? I am staying through to Monday. Well after researching, the front desk attendant said it appeared I was checking out Sunday. I blew a bit of a gasket, there, and then he realized no, I am staying one extra night. BUT, I needed to check out, first, and then check back in......for the same room! And had I not gone to the front desk to ask about a late checkout Monday, how would I have known that I needed to do this? No one told me at check-in. This place is far from a grand resort. Breakfast is ridiculous. For $450 per night, you can literally stay at the Hilton or Conrad and have a full-service 4-star hotel with all the amenities that goes with it. I am gluten intolerant and the only options at their breakfast is a hardboiled egg, a banana, or a yogurt. I might as well have breakfast at 7-Eleven. When I checked in, no one offered to help shlep my bags two building away on the second floor. The only reason people should stay here is if the only important factor in choosing your accommodations is to be naked and sit in a hot tub. The gyms they advertise as being on site have had the same equipment for decades.”

“Perfect for a 4 day getaway. Maybe 50 feet away from the beach, definitely within easy walking distance. The owner was extremely accommodating and hospitable. He provided beach towels, bikes, and beach chairs that we could borrow. The stay in the room was quiet and we didn't have any problems with guests on other rooms. We felt safe in that area and didn't have any cause for concerns. The room was clean and I was stunned how there was no sand in the room at all when we got there. The room has a small kitchennette with stove top, microwave, sink, fridge, coffee pot, toaster, dishes, silverware, pots and pans. The bathroom was a bit small, but the shower was big enough to make sure I could hose off all the sand. If we go back, we would stay here again.”

“As Marriott Gold members, we have stayed at other AC locations and had great experiences. This one however, was not great. The first room we were assigned to smelled like somebody left poop in to toilet. I checked the bathroom because it smelled so bad. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed, and there were clumps of hair and fake eyelashes both in the bed and bath rooms. My husband requested another room. The second room has dirty socks in the trash, and garbage left by coffee makers. At this point, it's probably 11pm and we just want to shower and go to bed. There was NO shampoo or shower gel, just empty bottles. And when you get in the shower, there is so much dust that sticks to your feet, you can tell the floor is rarely cleaned. We had to utilize the sofa bed and they only offer sheets and no warm blankets. The thermostat is super bright and we tried hanging a towel to dim it. There was so much noise until after midnight and early in the morning. It's like everyone that leaves early, slams their doors. We originally booked two nights and we're so disappointed and exhausted, we cancelled the second night and cut out trip early.”

“This was easily my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at. The valet service was absolutely wonderful and VERY efficient with prompt service. The front desk was very helpful and resourceful. The location was absolutely PERFECT around everything and extremely close to the beach. The best part of it all was the view from the room, I stayed 26 floors up and I fell in love with the wrap around floor to ceiling windows in the living room/kitchen. I slept in the living room more nights then the bedroom actually! Lovely vacation luxurious home!”

The kitchen and bathroom were recently renovated. The pool is small but good for a quick dip right by the beach. There's a separate hot tub and grilling area behind the reception building. Overall it's a great location to be able to enjoy the beach, restaurants and bars, Beach shops and the three mile boardwalk.”

“I had such a wonderful stay here! Booked on Travelocity, and it’ll be my go-to booking in the area. First impressions: Deb, the property manager, was amazing. Made me feel at home, and instantly felt that it was a warm and friendly community. Many of the guests seemed to be repeat visitors as well. They also let me borrow beach chairs, had great towel service, and rooms were spotless. The kitchen had the exact right items to make breakfast, coffee and reheat leftovers. Super close to the public beach with showers, bathrooms and lifeguards. The area is charming and quiet, decor is modern and comfortable, and I will absolutely be back! The room was suppose to accommodate 5, and the only place to sit was one sofa which was the sofa bed. It was dirty, not comfortable at all and in need of being replaced bad. Same to be said for the beds. Kitchen table was not much better than a small fold up table. I wish I would of done more research, because I would of not stayed 10 days here. The reviews are misleading and over generous, just my honest opinion. And I dont like to give mediocre to bad reviews unless really justified. My family was pretty disappointed this was our vacation accomodations. You better research this one closely.”

“Be warned, if you have booked this hotel or plan to through a third party and paid in full, just know when you check in you are going to be beat over the head with a service fee for everyday you booked, parking, and a $100 deposit out of pocket… so pretty much $200 extra… and if you don’t pay it you don’t get a refund and you are just booty out of luck. The decor is nice the rooms look tidy… however I was compelled to write a review due to the roaches…. Maybe there are old carcasses of roaches, however they appeared in the bed, and one crawled on my lady’s arm in the dark, which ruined the mood if you know what I mean. Coffee would have been nice as well… but a dead roach ruined that notion as well. But if you have no issues with that.. its a nice place… and don’t forget to bring some extra money if you booked through Expedia or any other third party :)”

“Newer clean modern hotel about one block back from the ocean with views from the rooms. Lobby and bar area are great. Fitness room is well maintained. Pool area small but fine with outdoor bar. No hot tub. Only downside to this place right now is the well-documented construction going on right next door. It's loud and it is what it is for now. But it's a great location and hotel if you are willing to deal with the construction stuff.”
