“Not one to usually complain but after coming to Lagoons multiple times always amazed to come recently and be disappointed, particularly by the food and rooms I had to mention it. We have always raved about the plantation restaurant however this time we weren’t impressed by the taste of the food especially when it’s not cheap either. The vibe as well just wasn’t the same, not very welcoming. The rooms were also outdated. We had a garden view and it was sad to see the plants very dull and not thriving at all :(( I hope in the future these things can be improved as it’s usually a great spot.”

“Catering for a 40th was great, staff were friendly, drink service was easy & a great view as well. Bouncer was a knob, demanding to see I.D even though I had their wristband on & had been in the place all night. Other than that, it was tops.”

“Stayed 1 night here with our family. Service on arrival was great, with a room upgrade to a 2 bed garden villa. The room had everything that you would need or want for a longer stay. Pool was under maintenance when we were there but looked good. The beach is so close so this didn't worry us.”

“The rooms are a good size, very clean with comfortable beds. There is air-conditioning and huge TVs. that operate on the VAST network so of course, WiFi is non-existent. Located on hwy so road is loud with trucks most the night however one would expect that! Unfortunately it looks like we were feed a line about the pool being out-of-action due to rain the day before. After choosing this motel for the pool it would be much more honest if management made sure guests were aware of pool condition prior to booking. We travelled all day during peak of summer and everyone was ready for a cool dip. You can see by the signage (and conditions of the pool) that the pool has not been in use for many months. The pub down the road (walking distance) had the best meal and so well priced and a clean pool. Wish we had chosen there instead. Nevertheless, Bororen Motel still felt comfortable for a quick overnight stay. No breakfast options available though”

“Our family room was basic but served our needs. The meal we had at dinner was outstanding. Our party was very impressed and the staff went above and beyond for us and made the kids happy. I had the fish and chips and it was the nicest fish meal I've had in some time”

“Dishwasher flooded kitchen when used. Shower leaked all over floor. Had to aid toilet flush by pouring bucket of water into bowl. What's with the coffee table? Tiny TV hard to see and hear. Wifi limited.”
