“Love this hotel 🔥 Clean , bedsheets always fresh and no stains ,room smells nice , very clean bathroom, funny stickers all over the hotel , free games downstairs, location is great, fee min walking grocery stores and pharmacies. 10-15 min walk there is an amazing pier with a view and if you are lucky enough you can also see 🦭. There is outdoor pool and indoor gym as well. Hotel stores your amazon packages as well if needed. Highly recommend 👍”

“This house is absolutely stunning. The way that they decorate really keeps with the vintage feel. I also love the breakfast, the food is wonderful and available until 11:30! The dining area is so lovely and gives that bed and breakfast feel in a big city. The coffee is always flowing both day and night and it tastes amazing. Definitely check out the rooftop area if you get a chance, the sunset view is amazing. I can't wait to go back!”

“This used to be my go-to hotel when staying in SF especially when I would do a night with my now 19 year old. I don’t know what’s happened but this has been a truly disappointing experience starting when we arrived to drop the car and our bags before walking to lunch. I parked out front and waited for the valet who didn’t come out. I inadvertently parked in the bike lane when we took our bags in and they wouldn’t move my car until I parked in the lane outside the valet parking signs. The folks at the desk were not friendly and helpful and it was if we were burdening them with our arrival. The fact that I’d stayed here a half dozen times should have shown in my profile. Our room has windows facing essentially a brick wall and the windows of another room. For the same rate in years past I’ve had actual views of the Sf streets. It doesn’t seem to be busy in the hotel so I would have expected they would have given us a nicer room if for nothing else than to engender good will and give Sf a better reputation. We won’t be staying here again. I am very disappointed.”

“Great hotel, only had some minor gripes. ### The good: - Front-desk is very helpful and kind - Cookies in the evening, unlimited tea and coffee in common area - Towels smell clean and nice! Not like bleach like in most hotels. Nice touch there. - The property itself is reminiscent of a true Victorian mansion, to the small details. ### The could be improved: - Please add just one more vegetarian friendly option to the breakfast! It would be 100% perfect if there was something like home potatoes/hash browns or at least salad to complement the eggs and toast. Otherwise, good! - One of the chairs in our room had a noticeable stain Overall a great place to stay!”

“Pros: The location is AMAZING! The area felt safe and was surrounded by great restaurants. It was even a fairly easy walk away from Fisherman’s Wharf. Easy 5 stars for location. Cons: The rooms were average at best and the management was below average. 1) Our flight was delayed and we arrived in San Francisco later than expected. We called the hotel beforehand and they assured us it was no problem and that someone would be there to let us in. When we got there (hard to find because there was no clear signage - it may have been covered by construction that was being done on the side of the building), the door to the lobby was locked and we didn’t see anyone. After knocking and calling several times, someone finally checked us in but they had clearly just woken up and were annoyed which would’ve been understandable had we not called and confirmed our late arrival would be accommodated. 2) On our last day we went to breakfast and when we got back, the cleaning service was in the room. They only spoke Spanish and I was able to explain that we needed to finish packing so we could leave and they left. However, they had already cleaned the bathroom which we all needed to use once before we left which meant they would have to clean it again. Management needs to do better so that their staff knows what rooms are checking out each day so that the staff and the hotel guests don’t end up in an awkward situation like we did. Summary: If you don’t mind potentially awkward situations with staff and a lackluster room, then this stay is worth it because of the location. Highly recommend Home Plate and Mel’s Drive-In if you do choose to stay here!”

“The hotel staff, room and amenities were excellent and commendable. However, my vehicle was returned by the valet with a significant crack in the windshield and covered in bird feces. I was told by the attendant that my vehicle was garaged overnight which the evidence does not support. I filed a claim and was informed a manager would contact within two days. I have yet to hear from a manager, have my valet charge refunded or be reimbursed for my cracked windshield. Very, very disappointing.”

“Chelsea Inn offers a comfort and an excellent location at a great value. The underground parking had about 12 or more spaces, and is secured with an electronic gate where I was safe parking for my entire stay. You will be located on Lombard Street, which is in walking distance to the historic end of Lombard street which is a MUST SEE. Also only a block from Chestnut St where the Apple Store is located amidst many restaurant and shopping options. It was also convenient to get to the wharf, golden gate, and financial district by Uber. Spacious rooms. You may need to request a fridge, as my room didn't have one. Very clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay again!”

“We spent a week at the Hotel Majestic in one of their King Suites, Room 408. What a charming hotel and so perfect for our needs. The location is excellent! Only a five minute walk into the heart of Japantown and surrounded by plenty of shopping and dining. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room clean and spacious. The suite has plenty of light and a separate living room and bedroom, which do show the age of the hotel, but the full bathroom has been updated. Water pressure was excellent and the hot water ample. You can hear other guests moving around and traffic, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. The TV had plenty of channels from which to choose. The breakfast buffet included make-it-yourself waffles, eggs, sausage, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea, milk and juice. There's even a small gym in the basement. Our only complaint is about the computer and printer available in the lobby. The computer was working, but a bit slow, but the printer wasn't working and the keyboard and mouse needed to be switched out as they stopped working as well. Luckily the front desk staff were more than happy to print anything we needed. Would highly recommend!”
