“We have been staying here 3 weeks at a time & then we left for 2 days and came back to stay another 3 weeks. We travel for my husband's job. We have stayed at numerous kitchenette type hotels in the last 8 yrs. Chase is one of the nicest we have stayed at. Glass top stoves, dishwasher, full size refrigerator!! The sofa has a chase lounge on one side of it and it has a fireplace!! 😍👍Large bedroom with a king size bed. A very good breakfast that has a variety of options and we love the fresh fruit which is Cantaloupe & Honeydew and big red seedless grapes also on Wednesdays they have yummy crispy bacon. Hot coffee and tea and love the honey packets for my tea!! Has a pool & jacuzzi too. Ample parking. The first 3 weeks were super quiet. This time on Friday night a big & very loud party right across from us. It ended at 11:30 pm but restarted at 1:30 am!!! It got shut down within 5 minutes by security. Which I was very happy about. Hopefully they lost their deposit . The only other complaint is our TV in the bedroom needs to be replaced as it has 4 bright light spots in it making it difficult to see. We did report it on our last stay and when we came back we got the same room and it had not been replaced. It's not fixable so they need to replace it. Overall one of the best we have stayed at. We would highly recommend Chase Suites in Newark!! A huge shout out to an awesome front desk staff too!! 🙌👍”

“Great location and friendly staff, but this hotel is a dump. Have the expectation of a one or two star hotel at best and you’ll be fine. Very rundown and there is a stale odour that permeates the hotel as mentioned in other reviews. Stayed in room 419. The floor was dirty, the window would not close, and the door seemed as if had been recently kicked in. Multiple cigarette? burns on the desk and the bathroom shower temperature was uncontrollable. Enjoy your stay!”

“We’ve been on a 3 week road trip from Austin to SF. So have stayed in a lot of places along the way. This place for the price was just great- kitchen facilities in the (large) room, wide corridors, clean and the welcome from the manager was genuinely warm and friendly (I think her name was Amanda). I haven’t bothered to write many reviews but this place deserved it. And by the way- if you’ve got a chance go to Maverick’s country bar- what a fun atmosphere of country dancing (even better than the places we visited in Texas) one of the best cultural experiences we had on our trip.”

“This is a bare bones hotel in an excellent location. Despite being in downtown Berkeley, it is quiet, which is good, because there is little-to-no sound insulation. The bed was comfortable, but although there is AC, there does not seem to be heat. The room is very bare-bones. I would love to give this place a higher review, because the woman at the front desk was very nice. However, this a place you would stay in because of the low price.”
