“Such a wonderful hotel! The atmosphere, vibe and cleanliness of the hotel was awesome. There are a lot of people sitting in the lobby and it is a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very lovely and helped us with any questions. The rooms were great! Sound proof and warm. Wish there was a kettle though! Since we were staying at new years (good rooftop views) we got breakfast on New Year’s Day. A very good choice as it was extensive and delicious. Would be staying here again!”

“Overall, the hotel staff were friendly. I was quite disappointed with the breakfast at the hotel. The cereal was stale. I tried two types and neither was crispy. I think it was most likely due to the way they were stored/presented in big bowls without cover. I also ordered the royal eggs Benedict. The eggs were totally cold. The vegetables (mushrooms and tomatoes) were very salty on both days. The room is small. The pillows on the bed were too soft. I called the front desk and asked for a firm pillow (granted a bit late, around 11pm at night) and they didn’t have an alternative option as the housekeeping department has left. I couldn’t sleep well at all. The pillows keep getting flat and do not provide any neck support. The AC control was not functioning so well. I feel like the temperature was not really changing much despite I tried to turn the dial. The mobile key in the Bonvoy app never worked. I did ask front desk to resend the key digitally and it still didn’t work. As for the items in the room, the kettle lid was loose. When you pour water out, the lid also will fall out which is not safe for handling hot water. Also, it would be better if there were shower caps or cotton pads as most hotels do have them. I’ve stayed at many of the luxury collection hotels within the Marriott brand, for example, most recently in Budapest. I’ve had much better experience in the past trips. The Steinplatz hotel is beautiful and I do wish my stay were more pleasant. I also submitted my feedback to the hotel and received no response at all.”

“I cannot recommend this hotel enough! Staff kindly assisted in organising decorating the room with birthday banners and flowers for my partner. They kindly upgraded our room too, the rooms are impeccably clean and very spacious. The soaps and shampoos smelt great. Whoever the chef is I would like to personally thank them. Most incredible breakfast I’ve ever had. We ordered breakfast in bed and it was amazing, not only did it look incredible but it tasted incredible. You can tell the chef really loves what they do. The breakfast buffet was just as good. All staff were helpful and extremely kind and accommodating.”

“This hotel is the absolute perfect location if you are visiting Berlin especially for the first time. It is at a walking distance from all the landmarks, big museums, and nice restaurants and cafes. The first room we got was a bit small and could get some refresh, the AC wasn’t working so we got a new room in the newly renovated section of the hotel that is hard to get to, but very pleasant and nicely decorated. The hotel doesn’t have phone or conference rooms if you were to get on a work meeting or take a private call. The gym was under renovation during our stay as well. Additionally, we had to pay a daily fee for a crib for our daughter who is under 2 which I found very unusual. Overall we enjoyed our stay, staff was very friendly, and the room was quiet and comfortable.”

“Great location and the room was beautiful. The staff were all warm and welcoming, including Grit (reservations) and the ladies at the front desk whose names I did not catch. I noticed they gave us a complimentary room upgrade—unannounced—which was appreciated. I would stay here again! One note: there are currently renovations to the Hugo Boss next door, which are out of the hotel’s control, however the works do start quite early and can be heard from the second floor rooms. It was not a problem for my partner and I.”

“Room was very clean. Mattress and linen were very comfortable. The Hotel was recently renovated and has a very unique and comfortable decor; it feels like home. Cafe serves an amazing breakfast. There is a very active bar seen in the evening. Location is fabulous for food and shopping. The room was pretty quiet for center City location. Amenities at the hotel were greatly appreciated (fruit + chocolate). We will definitely be back!”

The hotel was really nice for the purpose: + Good for sleep: blackout curtains, really quiet (the only thing I have heard from outside sometimes was gentle, almost unnoticeable sound of Berlin rain), comfortable mattress. + Filling and tasty breakfasts (with vegetarian meals available). + Friendly and helpful staff. + In walking distance from the EUREF-Campus. + Luggage storage room. - My room didn't have a laptop desk, but it was not a big deal for me. The view from my room wasn't great (some construction works), but I didn't care about this much. I liked my stay. Will definitely stay at this hotel again if I have a chance.”

“This is the most comfortable bed ever in all of Germany. Seriously. I woke up rested and refreshed before my alarm (this NEVER happens to me) and realized I still had more time to rest. It was glorious. The lobby and my room were both extremely clean. Friendly helpful staff at the desk, they gave me a free postcard and tried to help me with overseas postage. Make sure to check out the seating area and look down! There's a glass floor and old foundation under the lobby. Very cool.”

“Nice hotel! We stayed for a weekend, the staff is friendly and the rooms very specious. Unfortunately, the hotel bar was closed. We got upgraded to the top floor (without asking) which was absolutely beautiful. We felt right at home. The U-Bahn is 5min walking distance. Cleaning was done every day. Would stay again.”

Breakfast buffet had a good choice of food and when we had to get an early flight they packed us a good 'breakfast to go' bag. Staff were courteous,but not overly warm or welcoming. Would recommend hotel if you want to stay in this area of Berlin.”

“I had an absolutely lovely stay at Adina for two nights and will definitely come again. The stay was totally enjoyable: a warm and freindly welcome, a super spacious room with all you can wish in it, a gym, a swimming pool with a sauna and a delicious breakfast. I was most impressed by the fact that all the tiny details were so well thought over! There has been a TV set not only in the living room, but also hanging on the bedroom wall - for people like me, who love watching something while in bed. The bed itself was super comfy, with multiple pillows, which one can combine as needed, and with a thick perfect duvet. Everything was sparkling clean as well. It is amazing how Adina managed to create a home-like feeling in the apartments - so that you arrive, sit down, relax and just feel good. Thank you - and looking forward to visiting you again!”

The location is fantastic in a very fun neighborhood with lots of great restaurants around. The staff was exceptionally helpful, accommodating, and available any time I needed anything, no matter what it was!”

“What a great find! Close to metro and within walking distance of Berlin main area. Bed was very comfortable and roomy with a choice of pillows. Good toiletries and powerful shower. Although close to a Road very quiet at nighttime. Breakfast was good with a great selection of hot and cold food, cereals, bread and pastries which were regularly topped up. Staff on desk very helpful and spoke great English. Very helpful Polish housekeeper servicing the room.”

“It’s like a travel in time. Prepare yourself to enter the seventies in a very Christian hotel. If you book a room for 2 people, instead of one double bed, you get 2 single beds which keep separating during the night. The shower is definitely not made for tall people and is not clean. Furthermore, no need for a wake up call, drilling at 9 am in the hallway of the hotel will do the trick and you will wake up bright and early during your holiday. Electricity cords and leakage damage in the ceiling give you a true rustic Berlin vibe. Location is nice, as you’re quite close to the City Center. Overall, the location is good however all the facilities that you would expect from a hotel in 2023 are clearly lacking and staff does not really want to address your concerns. EDIT: By this extra comment I reply on the disappointing comments by the hotel. First of all, by the pictures it is made entirely clear that the hotel is not a modern design hotel. However, in my opinion hanging electricity wires and leakage from the ceiling is not an issue of modern design. As is visible on the pictures the martas hotel is an old hotel, but if leakage and electricity wires are normal, please also include this in the pictures, as I did not see this indicated anywhere on your website. I understand that some construction is needed in an old hotel. But, drilling at 9AM is not a pleasant guest experience. In my opinion you pay a hotel for a nights sleep, but as I understand by your reply this is not the case at your hotel (so please also indicate this on your website). Furthermore, the cleaning of the rooms was lacking. Hair in the sink is not the most pleasant thing to see after a long day of travelling. But, is this also normal or how should we interpet this? We are utmost disappointed by your childish response. We would like to discuss the matters with you on a normal level and not be pimpled at the check-in desk.
