“Overall an excellent choice for our 9 day stay. Felt very central and close to everything we wanted to see and do. The complementary breakfast is lovely with a good variety to start your day. They do not offer room service and the mini bar is not restocked daily, so be prepared to grab extra water etc to keep in your room. Housekeeping staff was lovely, front desk staff was fine. Would recommend and stay again.”

“The Donna Camilla Savelli is a mixed bag. The positives- the building itself - It is simply beautiful. The common areas, hallways and garden are so elegant. The serving staff, cleaners, and Ian the bell boy were also lovely. The negatives- For a four star hotel our “Executive” room was somewhat disappointing. The soundproofing was very poor. We were woken between 5-6am every morning by delivery vehicles, laundry collection, glass collection etc. The bathroom was very outdated, no dressing gowns, no coffee machine, and (strangest of all) two paper cups (a china cup and saucer would have been nice). The buffet breakfast was extensive. A large choice of food. Unfortunately the bacon and sausages were very greasy though, and a $5 extra charge for an omelette rather unnecessary in a 4 star establishment. Also milk had to be requested which was also strange. Finally we found the reception staff to be polite, but a little cold and unwelcoming (sorry not being unkind but that was our impression). Overall we loved the hotel building and garden, but feel that the overall experience could have been better, especially given the premium price charged to stay there.”

“It was incredible! The location is simply amazing, right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all the major sights. The staff were extremely welcoming, supportive, and helpful throughout our stay. The room facilities were top-notch and we couldn't have asked for more. Oh, and the breakfast? Absolutely delicious! One thing that really caught our attention was the hotel's stunning marble staircase, which we later found out was built back in 1930. Truly impressive! Highly recommend this place!”

“Wondeful hotel. Really recommend to any travellers to Rome. The breakfast buffet has a large variety. The hotel rooms are clean and well kept. Everything is made in Italy. Staff are very nice and helpful! Overall no complaints. Be aware, the hotel is in the Jewish Ghetto which you cannot access by car. It is very safe however, during my visit I observed there is tons of police.”

“Hotel staff was very kind, truly welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Rooftop bar has an amazing view. Location is also very good - walking distance from main attractions, with a tube station close by. One thing I didn’t like is noise. When in the room we could hear everything from the hallway, and almost everything from the room next to us. Not a great experience when you try to relax after a long day and there is a family with screaming kids behind the wall, or you are weaken up by a slamming door.”

My first time in Italy, so I was tipping staff with American money, which I later learned has a high conversion rate, most all vendors will not accept, sorry guys! “The staff at the reception were very helpful. They called taxis for us and gave us water refills every morning at the bar. The room was a very nice size and had really comfortable beds. The hotel is 20 minutes from the Spanish steps and close to the Coloseeum. Be aware, the elevator has a feature where the light turns off if you do not open the door correctly - the elevator is not broken, do not panic like me, you just have to push the correct handle to get out. This is different than American elevators which will slide open when you get to the correct floor and close on their own. I would definitely stay here again.”

When we arrived, it was before check-in, so we were asked if we would like to be backed and kept so we could go and explore. When we got our room, it was clean and tidy. Breakfast was amazing each morning with great service all 4 times. The front desk employees were very friendly and always welcomed us with a smile! When it was time to check out, they stowed our bags until it was time for us to leave.”

“Perfect location. 2 - 7 minutes walking to bus stops depending on where you are going. 7 minutes walking to train station. So many nice restaurants in the vicinity. Apartments are big and comfortable with a huge balcony. It is a home away from home with all amenities you’d need available to you. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend and definitely would stay here again if visiting Rome.”

The hotel is like a 15 min walk from Colosseum. They provide you with the city map and mark the main landmarks which you can visit. The rooms are small but are suffice for 2 people.”

“Starting with the bad we booked a room with a bathtub but when we arrived we were put in a different room. It would have been nice to have been notified ahead of time but the new one had a terrace so that was cool. Best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Truly incredible. “Michael was an amazing host. Very helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable after a traumatic taxi ride from the airport. After that, public transport to the main attractions was a breeze thanks to Michael's directions. The junior sweet we stayed in was exceptionally well maintained, spacious and clean. Breakfast was ample and delicious as was the restaurant. We will stay here again on our next visit.”

“My family stayed here during our recent trip to Rome. The location is amazing! Being so close to the Trevi fountain was fantastic. Centrally located to all the major attractions/destinations you want to see. It made getting around very easy. This was our second time in Rome. We understand there is a lot of smoke in Rome. However, this location was very smokey. I felt more than normal. Couldn't have been the restaurants nearby, maybe? The rooms were decent, a little on the small side (which is fine), but the walls are very, very thin, and the neighboring doors are extremely loud. We were woken up every single night by doors slamming. The breakfast buffet provided in the morning was fantastic and a great way to start the day. Everything was very fresh! There were 2 gentlemen on staff in the morning time that were very pleasant and helpful. They always showed respect and were never annoyed with guest asking them questions.”
