“I've been here for just over a year and have had the best experience. Leah and Sanneh helped me with my initial tour and leasing experience and they were wonderful. The last few months, we had some unfortunate events (no fault of management) and I've been in constant communication with Leah, Lauren, and Ashley who have all been amazing to deal with. Josh and the entire maintenance crew have been speedy and handle everything I request with care and professionalism. I feel like I've been annoying and demanding but they always make sure I'm updated and taken care of. Sorry about that ;_; My family visits often and each time we stop by the front office for coffee or to hang out, the entire Cortland team is always so friendly and inviting. They also frequently hold events for residents which I don't usually participate in but I think it's super cute. And it's not just the major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, they'll do things like give out cereal for National Cereal Day which I find super cute :') I renewed my lease recently because I'm so happy here. :) From now on, I'll only stay at Cortland properties if I'm not moving into a house! Thanks Cortland team for being so awesome ;__;”

“I have been living here almost a year now. Hector was wonderful with the leasing process, he definitely solidified my choice to stay here. The prices are fair, the amenities are great, and there's ample parking. I love that it is a smaller complex, close to main highways, yet still pretty quiet. Angelique has been so helpful with a maintenance issue we had. Maintenance is incredibly responsive, willing to explain the repairs, and does quality work as well. When the A/C went out in the middle of summer, they were there within the hour. I highly recommend living here. The only issue I have had is with the company that seals/reseals the bathtub. They had to redo it in August, and are having to redo it now. I am unable to stay in my apartment while they reseal it, so it is frustrating to find somewhere else to stay during this. Especially as I pay to stay there. That said, they are an external contractor so Vista121 is not at fault. Ideally there would be a change in companies so the resealing doesn't crack within 6 months.”

“Would like to start out by giving HUGE PROPS to Faith. She is the Amazing Leasing Agent who assisted my daughter with the entire leasing process. Faith was always available to answer questions and made every effort to make sure that my daughter was completely satisfied with her move in. The management team at The View at Lakeside, has also been very responsive. The apartment was clean and move-in ready with minimal move-in repairs. Maintenance even hooked up her washer. The apartments are quite and area feels safe with not much street traffic. I'm glad she chose these apartments and I'm confident that she is too. Thank you again, Faith, for helping her through her leasing experience, she and I are grateful to you.”

“Here are some things I've experienced in the past 3 years: - Washer, dryer, oven, fridge, AC unit and toilet all broke and had to be replaced. - Wasp nests so bad we can't use our porch - The biggest roaches I have ever seen in my life (which I have photos of) - It took months for them to get my spouse on our lease even though we moved in at the same time - The gate we live next to is always broken and just hanging open, so my car has been broken into multiple times. My friend's catalytic converter was stolen too. When I asked the front office about this I was told "the gates don't even do anything." (They don't even respond to my emails about the broken gate anymore, guess I'm just a nuisance even though I've lived here since before COVID and haven't missed a rent payment once) - Duplicitous behavior from staff, especially Mickey. Different friend was given two parking stickers even though they live in a one bedroom. They were told "you're only supposed to get one, but come back later and I'll give you a second one. *wink*" I asked for a second one and was denied. - They make you sign up for "PetScreening" whether you have pets or not and charge you for it. The pet deposit is insanely high too. - CONSTANT issues with the water and random water shutoffs, pipes burst every winter If you live here it's probably because you can't afford to live anywhere else, so I sympathize. Skip this place if you can afford it. As another review said, you get what you pay for.”
