Urban Abodes
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

3923 N Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL 60613, United States

“Overall, I had a pretty decent experience with Urban Abodes and their leasing team. Their response time was very fast and I was able to get a tour scheduled within days of getting in touch. I signed a place with them a few days ago. Percy David was my leasing agent. Some areas of improvement: 1. The online application process was all over the place. There were two separate and very outdated portals that I had to work through for the application process. A consolidated portal and a clearer step-by-step process would have made everything much easier. 2. My leasing agent, Percy, claimed to have "over 10 years of experience" but failed to communicate crucial details about the application process. He made an assumption that I knew the income requirements needed for a co-signer and it ended up stalling the application process and costing me an extra application fee once my first co-signer was denied. Percy offered to cover the extra application fee but never committed to his word. Percy also had no insightful information to provide about the actual unit during the tour, besides "Wow, this place is really nice"... I had to ask directly for basic information on utilities, trash, rent, etc. Overall, I would suggest that Percy gets a few more years of experience and develops a higher level of integrity.”

Env Chicago

Open until 06:00 PM

161 W Kinzie St, Chicago, IL 60654, United States

“I have loved my experience with the EnV team since I first viewed my apartment. The office staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted me to love the unit I’d ultimately choose. Since moving in, I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences with everyone who works here. Tracy at the front desk knew my name after 24 hours of moving in and the maintenance team is quick to fix any work orders and do a great job. Highly rec living here!”

Buckingham Place

Open until 06:00 PM

750 E Northwest Hwy, Des Plaines, IL 60016, United States

“I toured the complex about a month ago with Dorothy and she was extremely friendly and helpful. She was very open to sharing her experience living at Buckingham Place and answering any questions that I had. The property is well maintained and the leasing staff seem well liked by the residents. There is plenty of visitor parking and the complex is located in a residential area very close to public transport.”

727 West Madison

Open until 06:00 PM

727 W Madison St, Chicago, IL 60661, United States

“Recently moved to 727 and this must be the worst apartment when it comes to resident safety and security. Simply said, resident safety and security is not taken serious by the Bozzuto management team. 727 advertises "secured access-controlled parking", which is hardly secure given the recent string of mugging and car break-in incidents. Our car got broken into recently and the management team was sketchy in holding back info and unhelpful. Same with the package room, which is left wide open to the public and hundreds of packages are lined up outside of the package room and scattered across the public lobby. Heard multiple incidents of packages being stolen. I regret not taking the time to talk to current and past residents before leasing here instead of relying on all these inflated reviews (Bozzuto gives out renewal bonuses and reward points for posting a Google review). Finally if you’re considering leasing here, I highly recommend checking out 727 at night before signing a lease -- it's completely different environment and nothing like the tour during the day...”

357 W Chicago Ave #100, Chicago, IL 60654, United States

“Entirely unresponsive, they will switch you from one incompetent property manager to another every other month, all while nickel and diming you to death! These are just some of the things you'll experience if you make the decision to do business with this joke of a company, and it's only going to go downhill from there. Avoid this business like the plague, don't take the risk!”

Roosevelt Collection Lofts

1135 S Delano Ct, Chicago, IL 60605, United States

“My husband and I had the most fantastic experience during our stay at Roosevelt Collection Lofts! Relocating from Houston to Chicago could have been stressful, but the leasing staff made it incredibly smooth. Katie and Jessica were always there to assist, and the numerous resident events they organized helped me connect with my neighbors and create a sense of community. One of the things that stood out to me was how welcoming the staff was to my dog. They went the extra mile, even offering treats to make him feel at home. The concierge and package handler (I believe her name was Wendy) were always friendly and helpful, adding to the warm atmosphere. Maintenance requests were promptly addressed, sometimes even on the same day! This level of responsiveness and efficiency made me feel well taken care of throughout my stay. What truly impressed me was that the friendliness of the staff never wavered after I signed my lease. They remained genuinely kind and attentive to any concerns I had, which made my experience at RC truly exceptional. I wish I could remember everyone's name to thank them personally. Their kindness and understanding during my time there were appreciated more than they know. Life has taken me on a new journey, and while I would have loved to stay, my growing family and rising rent prices led us to purchase a home. If you're looking for a place with a welcoming and caring community, exceptional staff, and a wide range of resident events, RC is the perfect choice!”

Blueground | Furnished Apartments In Chicago

448 N La Salle Dr 9th Floor, Chicago, IL 60654, United States

“I have done corporate housing for years, worked in management consulting and have always had a great experience. When looking for housing in Chicago for my MBA I came across Blueground, which seemed to have pretty nice furnished apartments. What drew me in most were the good reviews about good customer service support. After moving in on Jan 1st into their apartment in Chicago (at the Fisher Building) I was taken aback to say the least. The cleanliness was subpar - with the sheets, towels and floor all not just unclean, but also torn, stains on the walls, and sticky. Specific to this location (the Fisher Building) the train is SUPER noisy and is right outside your window/building, and runs every 5 minutes, with the announcers making loud announcements regarding the train schedule and delays... this is not something ear plugs or a fan can fix. Lastly, the fees are insane. Utilities are $300 PER MONTH, which for a 5 months stay came out to $1,800 ... crazy. Then there is a $450 cleaning fee after you leave, and then there are up charged taxes on top of that. And this is with every apartment you book... anywhere. So you're basically looking at $1K+ PER MONTH additional to what you see on their website. The utility and cleaning fee are just ridiculous to say the least. Lastly, when I reached out to Blueground a day after moving in to help me relocate or terminate early (with a 30 day notice per their policy) they had hidden a clause in the agreement that they will charge $5K+ FOR EACH MONTH if terminated early, and not the $2400 which I was initially paying. Which meant that even if I moved out after giving them a 30 day notice, I'd be out $8K... FOR JUST ONE MONTH. Borderline SCAM. I'm still surprised to read so many good reviews, I'm assuming a lot of them were shorter term rentals like a week or so, and then the rest were from family/friends of management/employees. If you are a professional, in school or someone who just appreciates good customer service, please look elsewhere. I guarantee you the annoyance and bad customer service is not worth it. I'd rather pay a bit more to just have a decent experience than pay $15K to have a HORRIBLE experience. Never. Again. I will post this to my universities page (UChicago/Booth) and other groups to warn people about Blueground since you're unable to see reviews about specific properties and that is why they've been relatively under the radar. I also asked a few people who used them in the past and the company allegedly gets some bad reviews removed, which makes sense given that 4+ stars just does not make sense for what they offer.”

1210 S Indiana Ave, Chicago, IL 60605, United States

“This place is to die for. It is so worth it to live here. Every single day feels like you are living at a hotel. The amenities are state of the art. The apartments are beautifully designed and spacious. You can tell they put so much thought into every aspect of the building. It is technologically advanced. Gym has everything. Views are beautiful. I could go on. Don’t hesitate to sign that lease EDIT: Changing my Review from 5 to 1 star. After living here for 1.5 years. There somethings that I feel affect the QOL experience here at NEMA 1. The elevators: The elevators at NEMA have got to have one of the worst wait times. 15 mins+ Also get ready to be packed in an elevator like sardines. I had to walk 24 flights of stairs from the 4th floor because all the elevators coming up was full To add, I have had to climb 28 floors to get to my car in the morning because none of the elevators decided to work making me late for work numerous times. Absolutely ridiculous. They don’t seem to care either 2. The hallway does not have AC so it can get muggy and stink from all the heat 3. Internet gets throttled and can get slow 4. Pear chef: the buildings own food service has overpriced and very low quality food. 5. The building was built in 2019 but the hallways already look like an old apartment with wood chipping, paint peeling 6. We have had our appliances break multiple times in our first year here. Our freezer ice maker and the garbage disposal button is so badly placed it get a water stuck in there and then stops working 7. For the love of God this place cannot get their stupid garage gates to work. I don’t know whose brilliant idea was it to add another gate at the 5th floor. That stupid thing has a mind of its own and never opens making me late for work. It’s so stupid. $300 per month parking and it’s driving me crazy”

“This is a great place to live! I moved here without knowing the area too well for work from Michigan and it ended up being the most perfect location and community for me! Everyone is super helpful, kind, and respectful. The gym and rooftop are super amazing perks as well! Definitely live here if you are on the fence”

“Just renewed my lease for the third year! Since the building is so new, I am only the second person to live in my unit. It’s tiny but makes up for it with all the updated features and outstanding amenities. My friends who visit all think j live in a hotel with how nice the building is. The concierge staff make me feel so welcome and taken care of, shout out to Karlon for always being on top of the front desk!”

River North Park Apartments

Open until 06:00 PM

320 W Illinois St, Chicago, IL 60654, United States

“Since the first day I moved in, I have had countless issues with this apartment. For what you are paying, it sure doesn’t feel like a river north high rise. I moved into a place with a semi functioning toilet, and non functioning dishwasher. It took over 6 different maintenance appointments for them to finally replace the dishwasher and toilet. The toilet was replaced with a smaller one, leaving disgusting brown residue on the floor (that used to be covered up by a larger toilet base). Since then, my dog scratched the carpet at a door frame, and that has not yet been taken care of. I reported it 3.5 months ago… now, that it is the coldest time of the year, my heat goes out intermittently. Seemingly nice people working here, just terrible service for what you pay for… oh yea, and a cockroach came up through my kitchen sink drain and literally bit me”
