“Like all distilleries, this place is cool. A few things of note before you make the trek out here though: -They do not do English tours (at least, not without a special reservation). -They do not sell their special blended scotch on site (but you can try it in the tasting). The gift shop was otherwise nice and well stocked, and the tasting pours were generous for the prices. I’m glad we went, but I would not count this as a must go unless you really love the brand.”

“I'm from Iwate, but I visit several times a year. Because I really like the fried shrimp here. Extra-thick shrimp with succulent flesh and just the right amount of batter, perfectly fried... Please let me know if there's a place that's better than this?! Of course, the hamburgers and ramen are also consistently delicious. I feel sorry for myself as I splash the homemade dressing on my dressing, and I always buy it as a souvenir. Anyway, let's serve something delicious! Let's revitalize Wakuya! It's a wonderful shop where you can feel the enthusiasm. I want you to continue to do your best.”
Kesennuma, Miyagi, Japan
“The Kesennuma Oshima Bridge was started in 2011 as a symbol of recovery after the residents of the Oshima area were isolated for a long time during the Great East Japan Earthquake. It was completed in the spring of 2019 as a bridge connecting Honshu and Kesennuma Oshima. This bridge, nicknamed Tsurukame Ohashi, is a large arch bridge that is rare in Japan.”

“This is a quaint little cafe hidden away in the 6th floor of a building. The decor feels of a place in the 40's or 50's where writers would come to write or students come to read or study. The cafe offers a wide selection of thoughtfully choosen drinks and sweets. They also have small dishes that make this place great for lunch or a light dinner. The service was great and made me feel at home.”

“Japan's best cutlet bowl A menu with a great name. Sendai's famous large serving menu. It's a huge amount, don't lick it. It was my first time to eat such a thick cutlet. The photo doesn't show it, but it's surprisingly thick in real life. It's better to think that there are twice as many as you imagine. And even though it's thick, it's soft. It was an incredible experience. The fried shrimp is also quite big and filling.”

“I went for a drive. The road leading to Aone is closed during the winter. There was snow on the roadside. It will be freezing in the morning and at night. I couldn't connect to the internet.”
