“A beautiful site not to be missed if you are in Naples. Pausilypon literally means “ending pain”. You would understand why after walking through the tunnel, which was first built by the Romans and then reinforced by the Bourbons. The guided tour is in Italian only but the guide Giovanni was very helpful and asked me to stay close to him so that he can explain the history to me also in English. There is a small parking at a view point which is around 20 meters down the entrance of the cave. Many people just stop at the view point to take a photo and then they move on. You can probably get a parking place simply by waiting for a few minutes. Otherwise, the guide at the cave can tell you where to park a bit further down the hill. The last option is to park like a Napolitano with a bit of creativity. 🤪”

“Impressive building... from the outside. Very disappointing once inside. Place is full of odds and ends, no complete sets of anything, everything layered with dust. On entry, nobody greeted ( they were all at the door), had to pry someone away to get up and help with a request. She was completely not interested in budging or providing info. Their loss, we run a business and need quantites of bespoke stuff for the next season. For sure it won't be here.”

“Our meal at Graal was one of the highlights of our week in Italy. The setting in an old church is really impressive and set a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. The food was special too - I had octopus and steak, two things that are easy to overcook, and both dishes were fantastic. The cocktails were also exceptional. A special mention has to go to our waiter Gerardo. He was really attentive, giving suggestions about the food, talking to us about the restaurant and building's history, and quite rightly was proud of his Mum's homemade desserts; we had a tasting plate of all of them and they were delicious. “It is a small vertical park, 5 minutes from the metro station. The place is very interesting and rather crowdless. From the top of it opens a great view. Also there is a Virgil's tomb. And next to it it feels a little bit terrifying but really exciting. The air is cold and vet there and the wind howls in that large crypt in a rock. I will never forget that feeling. Also I will also remember this place because I tried to get there 8 times during a year and a half and it was always closed during its working hours. So be ready that you may meet its closed gates.”
