“On our way back from visiting our youngest daughter in Mississippi my husband, oldest daughter and I stop to visit the Gator Chateau. We were extremely excited to hold the baby alligator. They showed us multiple alligators at various ages. The employees were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They explained how the temperature inside is kept the same as outside and they do a lot to help the alligators in their transition into the wild. There is a very old snapping turtle that shares the area with the alligators. A gift shop and tourist information area is also located there. It is dog friendly as long as the dogs are on a leash and kept out of the alligator room/enclosure. There is no fee for admission and I think the Gator Chateau is worth a visit. It is just a bit over half a mile from the highway.”

“This is one of my favorite places to just bliss out! I am so entranced by the attention to detail in this garden. The walkways are lit up in the evenings. The sunset is Gorgeous and the Virginia Tech campus in the background just gives it a total romantic ambiance! I took the doggies there for a stroll on Sunday and the weather was Beautiful too! “I'm such a big fan of lighthouses. This is a nice little drive from hwy101 north of Bandon. This is one of the easiest access to a lighthouse I've come across on the coast. You drive right up to the parking area and just a very short walk you're there. Beautiful surroundings with wonderful views. If you're visiting the town of Bandon, this is one of the must do items.”

“This Bucks is an awesome strip club for sure! Great atmosphere inside with plenty of seating available. I love that the parking lot is huge and even on a Fri or Sat night there has never been difficulty getting a spot. There is a metal detector as you enter, so I feel safe inside having fistfuls of cash. There are always tons of dancers ready to jump and pounce on you right as you walk in or head to get a drink at the bar (which is a good thing cuz all too often at clubs the dancers will just sit around). Victoria and Joanna have made my past two visits excellent and a fun time for sure. I will definitely look for them first while walking in to make sure the visit goes great! Thanks Bucks!”

“Beautiful and serene island that houses the ghost town of Spectre plus a whole lot of goats. We visited in the beginning of June, and not that many people were on the island although the weather was perfect for it. Some came to spend a few hours there, some the whole day. For a small fee, it is possible to camp on the island overnight, which I absolutely recommend doing. We went in our campervan and unfortunately, due to a tight schedule, could only spend 1 night on the island. It was magnificent - immersed in nature - and we would have loved to spend more time there. There are clean toilets and a shower available, picnic spots and benches, as well as access to the lake for fishing or swimming. The sites for camping have a fire pit, and I believe there is one spot with hook-up. The goats are friendly and cute, typically minding their own business, but if you offer them an apple or some grasses, they will happily accept and the bolder ones will then seek you out again and again for more snacks.”

“I came here with my family, and I'll just say I wish I had known of such an awesome place sooner. The chicken wings from the BBQ bus were incredible. The potato salad, not so much. My daughter loved the donuts and enjoyed taking a fun photo atop the gigantic pumpkin outside where the seating was. The bees were a bit of an inconvenience to have around (our table was near the trash, and it was the only table available for 8 people at the moment), I'd suggest a further spot for the garbage to be placed. The inside was really intriguing. It was incredibly busy, but the experience of shopping and enjoying live music while you ate was very pleasing. It's a great place for family and friends, even people who like to explore by themselves. Will be returning!”

“We had a birthday party here. We arrived to multiple people in our private party space. We had to ask them to leave. Through out the entire party people were walking into the party area as there was only 1 sign for a private event and the area was not sectioned off properly. The area was littered in trash on the ground and there were half eaten donuts on one of the tables, which we had to take care of. Before the party began we were already put off from the atmosphere. Then it was time for the hayride. I was asked for a count of adults and children. I had stated we would have 54, which was an over estimate. When the tractor for our group pulled up they had only brought over a tractor with one trailer and expected us all to fit. We of course did not and they instead told 9+ people from our private party that they could use the public tractor to get to the pumpkin patch. The public tractor did not even make it out to the pumpkin patch before our group had all unloaded, picked pumpkins, and got back on the trailer. So an hour+ out of the 2 hours of the time our party was split up. There was also a giant stump in the entry way of the party area that my mother tripped and fell on. I sent an email to the farm of our experience and the response was "It sounds like we were a little overwhelmed by the volume of customers on Sunday, and I'm sorry it detracted from your party experience." No apology for my mother falling. No asking if she was okay. Nothing. Highly recommend NOT going here. Horrible customer service and experience”

“Hood Park and Campground. Park has a boat launch area and a small beach area. Plenty of picnic areas and big and small pavilions. Campground has dump station. Both back in and pull through spots. It has a amphitheater where you can watch kid friendly movies on Saturday nights. The restrooms and showers are cleaned every day between the checkout time and the checkin time so you are never bothered my the cleaning crew. The price is $30 per site with electricity. No water hook ups. If you have the National Park Senior pass then it is only $15 per night. Very very clean. Playgrounds in both the park and the campground. The sites are all hard surface.”

The staff is friendly the bathrooms are clean and accessible, there’s a heated pool, trails, it’s a short drive to the beach and they even offer shuttles to and from the beach! If you haven’t been yet do yourself a favor and stay here! It was much nicer then other campsites I stayed at in the area.”

“We went for the first time at DJ’s Berry Patch for Strawberry picking and had an amazing time. First of all the entry is free and you just have to pay for the strawberry that you pick, big white bucket cost $17 and mini basket cost $6 which was very budget friendly. The strawberries were full of flavor and juicy. They also had flowers for sale and home made ice cream which was flavorful. Would love to come again and again.”
