“I was wowed with the dining experience! My young kiddos loved it and enjoyed the food greatly. We did not know it is a fine dining restaurant. They have kids menu, and the food was fantastic, even for the kids set. The service staff noticed that the kids like the bread rolls and came over at least twice to ask if they would like more. Spent a lovely time here and would definitely like to be back!”

“No, I'm surprised. It was extremely fulfilling. I went on a weekday, so I was able to take my time to see it, but it seems to be crowded on weekends. It was nice to be able to ride a real streetcar, but there were so many exhibit panels that I didn't have enough time to read them all. The driving simulation was surprisingly difficult! Adults can also enjoy it.”

“It's not a very large facility, but I was able to hear the pipe organ and music box playing in the church. I was impressed by the pipe organ performance. It was a sunny day, so the sun was shining through the stained glass, making it very beautiful. It's a perfect place for adults to visit.”

“Vast, no expense spared mansion of a figure at the heart of Japan's noble and military establishment. House blends English and Japanese style. Wouldn't merit a special trip by itself, but near to the Folk Arts museum and Komaba Museum, and amidst an affluent neighbourhood of nice houses. I found it a pleasant excursion.”

Urayasu City Folk Museum
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:30 AM

1 Chome-2-7 Nekozane, Urayasu, Chiba 279-0004, Japan

“It is a free museum to visit. They have English guide pamphlet, too, to help you understand the exhibition. There are many volunteers (i guess) roaming around the area of traditional houses of fishermen's town. You may enter all the buildings except for the staff office. You may open all the drawers inside the buildings, too. If you can speak Japanese very well, the volunteers usually will approach you and explain the exhibition you are approaching. Very helpful and informative. I really like this museum. Especially since you can get here by taking the osanpo bus or bus for sightseeing, for a cheap price. Recommend to go on weekdays because of the small size of the bus.”

“Definitely worth a visit when you are in the park! We visited during winter and we're sad because the park seemed a bit dry, but the greenhouse was a pleasant surprise. Being inside the greenhouse, you are truly exported into a tropical rainforest where you feel like you are not in Japan anymore. The greenhouse is full of plants that are so unique and truly impressed me! Very calming too!”

“Such a beautiful space and interesting concept. A cute mini onsen filled with art. You pay for the use through a vending machine (you can also buy towels if you don’t have one with you - a towel is required to use the baths). The owners are really friendly and they accept people with tattoos. Also check out the souvenirs you can buy too.”

Ishikawa Prefectural History Museum
4.1
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

3-1 Dewamachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 920-0963, Japan

“In terms of words, I have heard of Kaga Hyakumangoku and Maeda's Lord, but I was able to learn about it in a fun and easy-to-understand manner. Nowadays with Shinkansen and airplanes, we can understand the difficulty of sankin kotai. I felt that history is still very much alive in Ishikawa Prefecture and is deeply rooted in our daily lives.”
