Fountain Of The Moro
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Piazza Navona, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

“A beautifully ornate fountain. Truly magnificent and inspiring when you take a moment to consider that this fountain has been here for centuries. When you look at it yourself take a moment to realize that your eyes are seeing the same thing that millions of eyes have seen over the centuries without change.”

Nuovo Sacher

Acquario Romano

( 16 reviews )

Piazza Manfredo Fanti, 47, 00185 Roma RM, Italy

“We had a couple of hours of waiting time till our train would leave so we decided to sit in the little park in the shade. After a while we learned that the inside of the historical building houses different FREE art exhibitions which we promptly visited. The staff there was very nice and helpful, the guards outside are also very nice and helpful even given the language barrier. The cafe is very reasonably priced and toilets in the basement are free and clean as well which is a very nice touch. On a saturday noon it was also barely visited which was very surprising given how pretty the building and park are and the location. If you want to get away from the crowds or like us have some time to kill and dont feel like wandering far from the train station definitely pay this a visit!”

Anzio Beachhead Museum

Via di Villa Adele, 2, 00042 Anzio RM, Italy

“Incredible little museum. So much crammed into a small space. Really impressed. They opened up especially for us that day so a huge thank you to the staff.”

Porta San Paolo
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 11:59 PM

P.za Ostiense, 00154 Roma RM, Italy

“Incredible ancient site of Rome. A door where Via Ostiense started/arrived, depending upon your point of view next to the Roman pyramid, which is likely to be built in between the 18-10th century B.C. when Egyptian culture and customs were on fashion. From Porta San Paolo you can start the visit to Ostiense neighbourhood and have a close look at its murals. It's a hidden underrated district which can reserves a lot of surprises to tourists!”

Colosseum
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Piazza del Colosseo, 1, 00184 Roma RM, Italy

“A spectacular and monumental place. It’s the story before your eyes. There’s a lack of adjectives. Come in and take it easy. Photos are consequences of what you are able to see and imagine. The ticket is cheap and I recommend you choose the ticket that gives access to the galleries. Walk around and use the subway as a means of transport. And be sure to do the Palatine and the Roman Forum. I’ve been there twice and it’s worth every penny. The sunset here is beautiful.”

Parco Archeologico Culturale Di Tuscolo

Via del Tuscolo, 00078 Monte Porzio Catone RM, Italy

“Nice for a walk but you cant do BBQ or picnic!”

Temple Of Venus And Rome
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

Piazza di Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

“The whole Roman Forum is incredibly interesting, but (like everything in Rome) incredibly busy. Walking to the Temple of Venus is like crossing into a parallel universe. As soon as I stepped over the stone 'templum veneris et romae' the sounds stopped. There were a handful of wanderers in the 30 minutes we spend there. Clear view on the Colloseum too.”

Altroquando - Libreria E Pub
4.7
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 10:30 AM

Via del Governo Vecchio, 82, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

“What an amazing place. We found some great books and a few gifts to take home, but my personal favorite part was the downstairs bar. We happened to be there the night there was an Italian blues band playing and they killed it. This is on my list for my next trip to Rome.”

Museo Delle Mura
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Via di Porta San Sebastiano, 18, 00179 Roma RM, Italy

“Wow! Such a great surprise to discover a hidden gem like this! 1. It's FREE! 2. it wasn't busy at all (on a cold yet beautiful sunny Sunday noon), for some time we were the only ones there until a large guided group arrived 3. the inside of the wall is impressive and you can walk inside it for a few hundred meters. Unfortunately you can't climb all the way up the tower as it is closed for renovations but you can go up the bridge above the gate (above the road) and see some view of the park. There is signage I'm Italian and in English, there's a toilet and even a little play room for kids in which they can play with small wooden blocks and try to build a model of the wall. Fun!”

Villa Di Massenzio

Via Appia Antica, 153, 00178 Roma RM, Italy

Pantheon

Closed until 09:00 AM

Piazza della Rotonda, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

“Amazing place to visit, truly an architectural wonder. We visited on the first Sunday in December so admission was free. We went early so the crowds were not bad. We ended up staying for mass which was incredible. It was very moving. If you can only visit a couple of places in Rome this has to be on your list.”

Alexanderplatz Jazz Club
4.2
( 16 reviews ) $$
Closed until 08:30 AM

Via Ostia, 9, 00192 Roma RM, Italy

“Interesting place. Easy access by Metro and the jazz is good and varied. The location is a basement and it's well laid out. Entrance is 10euros per person valid for 1 month and 10 euros consumption charge which covers 1 drink. What they don't tell you is that there is a cover charge of 3 per person for sitting at the tables. They were good about it when I mentioned that we had been the night before and were not charged it and removed it from the bill as they wanted to leave as good impression which it did... Pasta was good... Very tasty... I'd go back...”

Chiesa Di Sant'anselmo All'aventino
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta, 5, 00153 Roma RM, Italy

“Son of the better-known Virginio, Pope Pius IX's reference architect, Francesco Vespignani was called to build this splendid neo-Romanesque style church on the Aventine hill and he did so admirably following the project of the Benedictine abbot de Hemptinne. The mystical aura of Gregorian chants pervades the entire space of the church, rising up to the vault and then descending again to heights more suited to the human soul. A beautiful bronze statue of Sant'Anselm stands out inside the quadriporticus at the entrance to the church. The mosaics that embellish the apse are the work of a very talented German monk. The wooden ceiling adds value to the entire architectural structure of the church.”

Cinecitta Si Mostra
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Via Tuscolana, 1055, 00173 Roma RM, Italy

“Something different than other Rome's attractions. Definitely recommending to get a tour guide (you can book an English one on weekends via email) as it does not cost more and you can visit film settings and backstage which is the most important part of the Museum. The theroetical exhibition is quite long but also recommended to visit, especially the Fellini part (shortest and most entertaining).”

Multiplex Cinema Augustus
3.9
( 8 reviews )

Via Filippo Turati, 5, 00049 Velletri RM, Italy

“Unfortunately, the experience with this cinema is not the best. Let's start by saying that from the outside it seems perpetually closed, there are no boards with the programming or anything else. A month ago it was written on the site that the cinema would close for updates and I didn't go for this very reason, only to discover a month later that in reality they hadn't closed at all. It also made me strange to discover that with this new management the cinema remains closed on Mondays but even if these things are mostly nonsense what isn't is CLEANLINESS. I'm really sorry but I just can't get over this. During the interval I left the room to go to the bathroom, I found it closed with the writing "We inform you that the bathrooms are inside the room" so I went back inside and I don't even feel what I found in that toilet. to write it down. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but I hope they solve it with this review. For the rest it is a normal cinema. ANSWER FOR THE OWNER: Hi, thanking me for the review and then telling me that I'm actually lying by making inappropriate remarks doesn't make sense, it was enough to accept things as they are. You wrote that dirt can be given by other uncivilized people and I would definitely agree if it had been in the evening, but I came to the first show and it was 4.30pm. I also don't think that the broken doors and toilets on all available toilets in the hall bathrooms, as well as the bugs were left by someone shortly before. If you want to check, I'm talking about the bathrooms in ROOM A, I'll gladly come in person to let you know if you want. I avoid posting photos. Furthermore, I don't think I'm the only one who wrote about this cleanliness thing in reviews. Passing off my honest review as something inappropriate and invented when it is clearly your fault is not a professional attitude. In any case, I wish you a good day.”

Cinema Royal - Multisala 3 D
3.9
( 8 reviews )

Piazza Regina Margherita, 7, 00053 Civitavecchia RM, Italy

“I visited it on the occasion of the film "Comandante" by Favino which I invite everyone to see for the enormous historical interest and the amazing performance of the actors. Upon initial impact, the cinema (entrance hall) is simple and nice but the room assigned to the film (room 3) is really small, with seats from times gone by where if you are taller than 1.50 meters you hit your knees. Furthermore, the emergency lights made it difficult to see. Apart from the sessions which you can get used to, I would recommend lowering the intensity of the emergency lights to give more clarity to the vision.”

Palazzo Santa Chiara
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

P.za di S. Chiara, 14, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

“We attended a presentation of an opera at the palazzo. The ensemble was strong, particularly the female lead. And, although not housed in a opera house, they made good use of the Palazzo by moving us through rooms and presenting different scenes in different rooms. An added bonus was an existing chapel that was quite beautiful that you could visit.”
