Via degli Alfani, 78, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

“Astounding works of art created by skilled craftsmen from cut pieces of (semi precious) stones of such wonderful colours. A useful explanatory film is shown in the 'laboratory' upstairs. Prepare to be amazed.”

Museo Nazionale Della Certosa Monumentale Di Calci
4.9
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

Via Roma, 79, 56011 Calci PI, Italy

“Nice to visit, but if you are a non Italian speaker, you pay full fee and get no service. The guide isn't bothered by non Italians who have to glare at one (English) one pager 🤫 Not very religious for such a religious place 😇”

Franco Zeffirelli Foundation
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Piazza di S. Firenze, 5, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

“You definitely have to love film and stage design to fully appreciate this place.. But if you do, then it a stellar experience. Seeing the transformation from Zefferelli's graphic representation to stage: play and opera, gives an insight into what an imagination and vision he must have had. I loved the Inferno room and his pictorial translation of Dante's Circles of Hell..Spent over two hours here and then enjoyed their tapas and coffee outside.”

Palatine Gallery

Closed until 08:00 AM

Piazza de' Pitti, 1, 50125 Firenze FI, Italy

“This is one of the nicest museums I’ve ever visited, it has several parts to it. It has lots of amazing artwork, artifacts, paintings, statues, and much more. It has a very big collection that is very well displayed and preserved. It’s definitely worth visiting, I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend visiting this museum and its many galleries.”

Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory
4.7
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

Largo Enrico Fermi, 5, 50125 Firenze FI, Italy

“If you like arts and are uninterested in science, visit the terrace on the roof for breathtaking view of Fiorenza, with Palazzo della Signoria, the Duomo and Santa Maria Novella in prime view. Otherwise, if you seek (virtute and) canoscenza, the Osservatorio offers a really interesting laboratory, Einstein's original piano, and science experiments. Generally not open to the public, look for special events.”

Casa Buonarroti

Via Ghibellina, 70, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy

“The house Museum of Michelangelo is absolutely spectacular; it’s got lots of his works on display. They are very well preserved and displayed, it’s really a unique museum to visit. It has his works of art ranging from paintings, to drawings, statues, sculptures and other various artifacts. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely like to go back. I would certainly recommend visiting this place if your in the city of Florence.”

Via Pier Andrea Mattioli, 4, 53100 Siena SI, Italy

“Beautiful und diverse botanical garden if you need some relaxing time and being away from tourist spots. However some places need to be better take care of. Since it’s maintained by an university I assume that a lack of money is the reason. Ticket is 5€ / person.”

Multisala Cabiria

Piazza Piave, 2, 50018 Scandicci FI, Italy

“Recommend. Very good, cozy cinema 🎥 …”

Laurentian Medici Library
4.3
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Piazza di San Lorenzo, 9, 50123 Firenze FI, Italy

“Unfortunately this place is very poorly run. The hours appearing on Google and their website are not the hours they advertise on-site. When you buy a ticket for San Lorenzo they ask you if you want to buy one for the library at the same time, but don't tell you it is open for only three hours. It could be about to close in an hour and they wouldn't tell you or advise you to visit it before the church so you have time. When we came back after visiting the church it was closed and they wouldn't give us our money back even when we pointed out the completely innacurate hours on their website and lack of posted information beyond one tiny printed sheet in a window. I'm sure Michelangelo would be disgusted by how they're disgracing his (so I'm told) beautiful library.”

Centro Storico Di Castel Del Piano
