Besides original and replicat exponats there are lots of modern information displays and interactive visuals. Haus Der Geschichte Baden-württemberg

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Konrad-Adenauer-Straße 16, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany

“Moderately interesting museum showcasing the history of the Baden-Würtemmberg area. Some of the exhibits don't seem to tie together very well and/or feel irrelevant. Additionally, some of the items feel repetitive. For example, there will be a passport from some random soldier from 1939, and then 4 display cases you will find another passport from the same time period. Note these are not significant people, just random documents they've received. Also note that all item descriptions are in German.”

Fernmeldeturm Mannheim
4.3
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Hans-Reschke-Ufer 2, 68165 Mannheim, Germany

“I love heights therefore I could not miss visiting this 218 meters tall Mannheim dominant offering spectacular 360 degree views! Ticketing office at the base of the tower was closed and honestly the whole place looked abandoned, however once I got to the elevator I paid the 10 EUR entrance fee with the guy servicing the elevator (actually I paid at the restaurant with a card as the gentlemen accepted only cash)! Once at the platform I was able to enjoy the view of Mannheim and its surroundings. I liked the fact the viewing platforms windows were at an angle, therefore when I leaned over the railing I was able to see directly underneath me, which got me excited and frankly was more interesting than watching the horizon and the cities in the proximity. There were explanatory boards on the ledges giving basic descriptions about what can be seen from up here! Views were great, not blocked by any buildings or mountains. I was a little disappointed with the tinted window glass, which gave a kinda green-ish vibe, not exactly the most flattering. Originally I was not planning to visit the restaurant at all but since I had to go there and pay anyway, I settled in for a beer. The restaurant's platform revolves around its axis once per hour and I surprised myself to stay nearly for a full round. Names of the nearby cities and important sites were written on each column, making sure I won’t miss anything - a very clever idea! Restaurant was half empty during the time of my visit, therefore the service was quick. Nice and friendly waiter Tobias gave me additional information about Mannheim which was appreciated. The overall atmosphere was nice, quiet and enjoyable. Large selection of drinks and fair prices! Next time I would skip the observation platform and come straight to the restaurant (still you’d have to pay the entrance fee). Visited in June 2022.”

Europa-park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Europa-Park-Straße 2, 77977 Rust, Germany

“What a fantastic place to visit! Disneyland in Paris doesn’t get a look in with this place. If you want thrills and theming that really makes a difference. The park was super clean, staff extremely friendly and the efficiency of the queues was excellent. If a ride was getting a bit too busy they would add extra cars on to ease that. The virtual queue system was excellent and the shows were fantastic! Stopped at the Kronosar hotel and again what a fantastic place, rooms were spacious and everything was kept so clean and tidy. I’ll definitely return, only spent 2 nights but could have spent longer as there is so much to see and do.”

Mehlsack

4.5
( 10 reviews )

Mehlsackweg 10, 88212 Ravensburg, Germany

“You have to climb a lot of steep and narrow stairs in this medivial tower to get to the top but you are rewarded with a unique 360° view of the city and surroundings. The climb itself is tiring but also not that bad because you have opportunities to sit down and rest. You can also stop to admire the architecture and wonder what it was like back when the tower was actively used.”
