Kantstraße 12A, 10623 Berlin, Germany

“The cinema itself looks grandiose and fancy! You get that feeling of going back in time a little. We sat in row 19 but I would say even though it was quite far from the screen, I could still see everything well. Still, I subtract two point for two very important things: popcorn and ventilation. There is no popcorn :( I understand the place is fancy but it just doesn't feel the same seeing a movie with an overpriced bag of nuts instead of a bag of good old popcorn. Second, the ventilation! The venue was quite packed on a chilly evening and there was no air to breathe during the movie. Imagine 700 people in a room with no/poor ventilation. It was really difficult to breathe and extremely hot. This made it hard to enjoy the movie fully. I cannot imagine how it gets when it's actually warm outside.”

Helmut Newton Foundation

Closed until 11:00 AM

Im Museum für Fotografie, Jebensstraße 2, 10623 Berlin, Germany

“Not everyone’s cup of tea. But Helmut Newton was a great photographer, with a style that was unmatched in its day. The exhibition displays his best known works, as well as older family photos and possessions. His wife’s work is also part of the overall exhibition. Which is an interesting addition. If you have an interest in photography. I’d say it’s well worth visiting.”

“Such a cool museum in a cool area in Berlin. Very contemporary exhibitions are on. The entrance is very nature friendly, almost feels like entering a magical small garden hidden somewhere lol. Seems like the museum is concentrating on modern installation, video arts and photography.”

“My visit to the Berlin Firefighter's Museum was an absolute delight, even without kids! The museum's collection of firefighting memorabilia and historical artifacts is impressive, providing a captivating journey through the evolution of firefighting techniques and equipment. The attention to detail and well-presented exhibits made the experience truly immersive. The staff was friendly, and their passion for firefighting history was evident in their explanations. It was a refreshing and informative outing, offering a unique perspective on the brave men and women who have served as firefighters throughout the years. I highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in history or simply looking for an enjoyable and enlightening experience in Berlin. 🔥🚒”

“A true hidden gem of the west. Fantastic sculpture garden (recently renovated) with a surprisingly advanced cafe (you don't need to buy a ticket to use the garden or the cafe). Come here to chill, eat a home-made cake, read a book and visit an occasional exhibition.”

Käthe Kollwitz Museum

Theaterbau am Schloss, Spandauer Damm 10, 14059 Berlin, Germany

“Absolutely worth seeing - I (consciously) didn't know any pictures. It was an inspiring encounter with your works of art for me. The works radiate a wide variety of emotions. She put these impressively on paper. In some etchings, many emotions, suffering, joy, and more can be seen. Explore it personally! Don't forget a visit at the "Neue Wache" with a Bronce inspired by her.”
