“My friend and I did Horror on all Hallow’s Eve, and it was so much fun! I’ve done a few different escape rooms over the last few years and this one was probably my favorite! The room was beautifully designed and decorated, there were familiar/commonly seen puzzles, and there were newer more fresh puzzles that proved challenging. The little clues hidden in the room were actually helpful and not so vague and cryptic to the point where it could mean anything and you are forced to waste a hint. Amanda and another girl, I am so sorry I can’t recall her name :(, were absolutely hilarious and super helpful during the game! They were even kind enough to let me know when a very loud sound effect would be triggered because my hearing is pretty sensitive! Without their useful hints, there would be no way my friend and I would have finished it with 7:26 to spare. They were so awesome and I can’t wait to go back to do another room! EDIT: Came back a week later with the same friend to escape the illusionist! AND WE DID….With some help from the awesome team! Ange…lica, Calvin, aaaand, Annie? Amy? Amanda? Arnold? Jolene? …ANGELINA! ;) (I only remember Calvin immediately cause Calvin and Hobbes. I remember with name associations.) They are so much fun, it makes the atmosphere less tense, and as if you have a friendly Casper the ghost on your side! I cannot wait to come back for more fun and to lock L in the shower.”

“The Fulton Mansion was a wonderful historic site to visit. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a self guided tour and a scavenger hunt to make it even more entertaining. The rich history of this place and the attention to detail is beyond amazing. Definitely recommend if visiting Fulton or the Rockport area.”

“I loved my experience here at IRC. Everything was very clean, including well-kept bathrooms. I visited with my younger cousins who were 7 and 12 and my grandparents who were in their 50s. It was a fun trip for the entire family. We were all marveled by the extreme attention to detail and loved the fact that every part of the exhibit was either factual or biblical. Plus, the planetarium has 3 different showings, so we will be back!!”

Went on a Sunday, and admission was free, but I left a donation, and it was appreciated. Would highly recommend a partonship to this museum if a local or visiting Austin - it's small so it won't take all day.”

“Nostalgia for sure... every toy we grew up with could now be seen by my kids for what real toys were compared to their stuff lol. It's not very interactive with TV screens showing random clips of the cartoons or commercials of the toys but there are a lot of old school video games to play for free! Truthfully the displays could be organized and displayed a little better as they are just cluttered together. It's not super big inside for the amount of toys they have. The entrance fee is a little high but we got a good amount of time in there for sure.”

“Always love coming to this place but there needs to be more accessible entrances for the disabled. We went to the feast of sharing on Tuesday and my mom whom is disabled had to get out of line just to go use the ramp and we ended up losing our place in line several times. There were others using wheelchairs and walkers having the same issue.”

Definitely stop in, for $8 per adult there’s no excuse to miss it, especially if you consider yourself someone who knows your Texas rock and roll stars. I went there for Janis of course but left wishing I had way more time to peruse the other exhibits. Appreciate the docent who took the time to ensure that I was able to commune with my namesake for a moment. If you are a Janis fan like me, ask them about the bricks for sale, then head over to 4048 Proctor street with your new favorite souvenir.”
