Mount Ephraim Gardens

( 8 reviews )

Mount Ephraim Gardens, Staple St, Faversham ME13 9TX, United Kingdom

“Great gardens. Mixture of open spaces , rose gardens, an arbouritum, , a sort of maze ( called mis maze ) a lake and some ponds. Was hot on the day we visited, so the benches under the shade of the trees was quite welcoming. Stopped for a bite to eat and a cuppa , which was nice. Also lots of places to have a picnic And on the way out they had a few shelves full of plants. Wasn't too busy as we went on Sunday and plenty of parking. For lovers of gardens I would recommend.”

Dover Transport Museum
4.8
( 16 reviews )

Willingdon Rd, Whitfield, Dover CT16 2JX, United Kingdom

“My family and I visited back in November and again today, as initial entrance fee is valid for the entire year. This is excellent value for money, and the volunteers have done an amazing job to make this place look great. My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this place. Even if your not particularly into motor vehicles, this museum is still an absolute gem. The museum displays include vehicles of all kinds, shops which you actually walk into and upstairs. Our favourite sections were being allowed upstairs on the double decker tour bus, model railway (which is huge) and when it's available- using the fire engine hose to knock down targets! Well done to all the volunteers that make this place such a great day out.”

Little Potters Pottery Painting Cafe
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 04:30 PM

Central Park Stadium, Church Rd, Murston, Sittingbourne ME10 3SB, United Kingdom

“We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party at little potters last weekend. We paid extra for after hours which meant all her family could be there to celebrate with her. They team looked after everything we only had to provide the cake which was great! My daughter is lactose intolerant and they found all fun treats that were safe for her which she loved. All her friends had a great time and went away with an ornament that they decorated as part of the price per child! At £12 a child with a minimum of 8 per party it was by far the cheapest children's party we found and even better that children of all ages enjoyed it. We have been several times for a little treat as well as her party. I highly recommend visiting little potters.”

Great Comp Garden
4.7
( 16 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

Comp Ln, St Mary's Platt, Sevenoaks TN15 8QS, United Kingdom

“What a little gem! Beautifully laid out garden, full of surprises at every turn on the meandering pathways. It far exceeded my expectations. I loved all the private corners which encouraged you to sit a while and enjoy the peace and quiet, whilst taking in the views. I found it fascinating how old brick and slate had been used to create ruins which had become engulfed by flora and fauna and made into features in the garden. It certainly was a place to lose yourself in, like a secret garden. The tea room menu was delicious and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be visiting again.”

The Palace Cinema
4.4

Harbour St, Broadstairs CT10 1ET, United Kingdom

“A great small independent cinema with staff interested in film, offering drinks and snacks.. We are lucky to have this in our town. It's in the running for an award.”

Fan Bay Deep Shelter
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Unnamed Road, Dover CT15 6HP, United Kingdom

“Wow, what a tour. If you are a WWII history buff then Dover is the place for you as Hell-fire corner has a ton of it. This being one of the best things to visit, the Deep Shelter that should have been Deep Acommodation, is amazing. The tour guides were great and the work they are doing on this patch of land with the bunkers and gun batteries is brilliant. In 1973 Kent County tried to erase it's wartime history, as it found it to be an eye-sore, and didn't want to see it. All the bunkers were bulldozed and buried so no one could find them, save a few locals and urban explorers who broke into them. When National Trust (NT) were informed of what lay on there newly purchased land they raised the funds to dig it up, make it presentable, and show it off; Awesome project. We just need them to do the same with Dumpy B Communications Bunker. Not disabled accessible. Cash payment only at the bunker if not an NT member.”

Dickens House Museum
4.2
( 16 reviews )

2 Victoria Parade, Broadstairs CT10 1QS, United Kingdom

“Although Charles Dickens didn't live or stay here, he visited a friend who lived here, several times. She became the prototype of the character Betsy Trotwood in David Copperfield. The house is crammed with Dickens memorabilia and related items and the house repays lingering over. Staff are cheerful and helpful.”
