I loved the Chinese new year section & you can take a pic w/ your Chinese zodiac year. One of my favorite holiday light experiences in Houston. It also made me want to go visit the gardens this spring during the day. Such a treasure trove tucked away where I wasn't expecting it.”

“It's a collective of artists that showcase history, culture, and Houston living. Typically it only showcases 5 house, the remaining house are used to be renovated or for living of families. It is quite hot outside during the events in July. So bring personal fan, or you can participate in their drive-by version of the exhibit. Being that exhibits rotate each year with different themes. It's hard to pinpoint every idea. But if you do come on opening day you can speak with the artist and their thought process in curating their live sculptures. This is a historical area in Houston for context it might not look the best for some of the hipsters who are used to neighborhood gentrification.”

“Not crazy about the opera, it's the singing style that's not really my preference. I prefer musicals and plays much more but the production was very good. The ushers at the Houston Grand Opera could use a lesson in hospitality because I experienced 2 very rude ushers! Parking was effortless and easy which was a big surprise for downtown Houston.”

“This is a great place to bring the family and beat the heat. Great photo ops and huge, amazing dinosaurs. If your kids have the patience to read the placards with details about the different dinos, you can learn a ton. There are some fun interactive elements towards the end of the experience that my 7 year old loved! I’m glad I was able to get discounted tickets because it does not take up a ton of time to walk this experience.”
