“The workers are very nice, I wanted to buy pouring medium but there were no stock on the shelves, the staff helped me find more from the storage and also help me to contact other near by cass art shops to see if they have it. After that time I call them to make sure if the things I need are in stock before I go , they answered my phone nicely and kept the products for me. Thank you all been so helpful and nice. “It's quite an unique experience according to me and the feeling of crafting something on your own leaves you with a heart filled with pure joy. You might find the prices of the items on which you try your hands on to be a little expensive but the experience perhaps makes it worth. There are assistance on the floor along with a little demo by the friendly staffs. There is one cafe at the site as well. Parking spaces could be a little tight on busy days.”

“I am really disappointed in this store. I've generally been quite disappointed in the range of fabrics; they don't have any dress making fabrics or cotton jersey. It seems so behind the times and needs a really good update to stop customers visiting then leaving empty handed constantly. The store is kitted out with all kinds of dress making notions but without any fabric to back that up. On our most recent visit we were looking for a particular card making item and one of the staff (near the till) couldn't be bothered to put her embroidery down to help us look. Just waved us off in the general direction (of something they haven't sold for a year!). Luckily another lady who was in the wool section kindly helped us look and then found out they don't sell it anymore.”

“My friend and I visited Joel and Son today. We had dreamed of this for a long time. We love to sew and promised ourselves some fabulous fabric for our projects. We met the lovely Basil who looked after us and helped us source exactly the right colours and cloth. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole place is beautiful with fabulous artifacts and creations. The ladies loo has a brilliant mosaic for example. The visit was a treat which we hope to repeat next year. Thank you to all the staff and everyone responsible for this joyful establishment. “Went in to look at wool for a new project and felt extremely unwelcome with both staff members upstairs ignoring me, with one going on their phone at the tills and the other looking miserable. I ended up not getting anything as it was such an uncomfortable experience, which is a shame as I prefer to support local crafting businesses rather than buying online. Personally, I think there are much better places to buy wool, where the staff are actually friendly and don't make you feel bad for looking at their products.”

“Placed an order online three weeks ago that hasn't arrived and was supposed to arrive within a few days. They've ignored emails for support and don't answer the phone. Good shop in person but avoid ordering online, will be disputing with the bank UPDATE: Product received today a week after this review and over a month after ordering. No contact from the shop but assuming the PayPal dispute prompted them to review the order or just luck. Updated to three stars as the products were as described but would still advise AGAINST ordering online.”
