Via Nocchiere Marinucci Salvatore, 9, 86039 Termoli CB, Italy

“If you are in Termoli for its amazing beach, this is an obvious must see along with the rest of the Termoli Centro Historico. One of the lesser known areas to foreign tourists, but just as beautiful. Next time in Italy, plan some time in the Molise, there is much to see and taste!”

Borgo Medievale Di Fornelli
4.6
( 8 reviews )

86070 Fornelli, Province of Isernia, Italy

“The name Fornelli it perhaps derives from a kiln for the production of fired bricks present in the town in ancient times and at the service of the abbey of San Vincenzo. Fornelli, in fact, is characterized by soil rich in clay. The castle is located at the main entrance of Fornelli, Piazza Umberto I, which still shows the characteristics of a walled village; this is equipped with circular lookout towers, the shoe base. The castle is spread over two levels, the ground floor used for the furnaces and the upper floor for the lord's residence. In 1744 the King of Naples Charles III of Bourbon lived there. At the entrance to the town there is a sign saying "Fornelli: one of the most beautiful villages in Italy" and one can only agree! Small rocky town, full of flowers and very suggestive. Restaurants and bars available and friendly. Nice view. Recommended to visit!”
