Top 5 Arts & Entertainment in Somerset

Avalon Marshes Centre
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

Avalon Marshes Centre, Shapwick Road, Westhay, Glastonbury BA6 9TT, United Kingdom

“Beautiful place for a chilled walk, or a cycle ride!! Water, greenery, trees and wildlife... what's not to like?”

Wellesley Cinema Wellington
4.6
( 10 reviews )

50 Mantle St, Wellington TA21 8AU, United Kingdom

“Lovely local cinema, screen room is very vintage theatre style which adds to the atmosphere. Great pricing on tickets, food and drink prices are reasonable too. Toilets facilities need attention however.”

Avenue Cinema Minehead
4.9
( 10 reviews )

14 The Avenue, Minehead TA24 5UQ, United Kingdom

“The best cinema I have been to by far and then some. Good seats in a small auditorium with a crystal clear screen, friendly abundant staff and even an operative coming round with icecreams, that, I’ve not seen in some years. The best thing about the Avenue cinema though is the sound, I don’t hear terribly well and am put off going to the cinema because the effects and music distort and drown out the speech to a degree that I can’t follow a lot of what’s being said, not so at the Avenue though, I hardly missed a thing through a longer than average film that was noisy in places making me think that other cinemas have their sound balance wrong and maybe it’s not me being deaf after all! The price is so cheap I’ll go more often, make sure you buy popcorn and coffee to supplement their income and keep it so reasonable (no, they are not paying me to say that). I little gem of a place that I found by accident and will be going again.”

Gough's Cave
4.5
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

76JM+PH, The Cliffs, Cheddar BS27 3QF, United Kingdom

“What an amazing experience. The audio guide is a bonus. The prices are a bit expensive in my opinion, but what you see when you’re inside the cave is totally worth it. The cave is so amazing I can’t describe in my words how beautiful it is. I don’t regret spending money on something I enjoyed so much. When you buy a ticket, it includes 4 other attractions to attend. I regret wasting my time on going on to Jacob’s ladder, lookout tower and cliff-top walk. (Nothing to see there)”

Arctangent
4.9
( 10 reviews )

Fernhill Farm, Compton Martin BS40 6LD, United Kingdom

“This festival does not disappoint!!! The acts that are put on are incredible for an independent festival - everyone is helpful, friendly and there to enjoy the music. This was our second year and I'll definitely be back again! I highly recommend booking the VIP passes as the bar area is lovely and you get a bag with perks too including a really helpful clash finder and lanyard.”

Muchelney Abbey
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Law Ln, Muchelney, Langport TA10 0DQ, United Kingdom

“Muchelney Abbey is one of the smaller English Heritage sites, but is, nonetheless, very interesting and picturesque. Very little of the actual abbey remains other than the Abbot's quarters and the latrine building. In the grounds, the foundations stones of the abbey are clearly visible. The abbot's quarters are on two levels, with a very worn and uneven staircase connecting the two floors. It houses the gift shop and an interesting, but small, museum highlighting the history of the abbey. The latrine building contains a single room, accessible from an external staircase. The abbey, both internally and externally can be visited thoroughly in less than two hours. It is well worth a visit if you are in the neighbourhood. The parish church in the adjacent field can be visited at the same time. It is generally unremarkable, but does have an interesting painted ceiling.”

Ilminster Arts Centre
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:30 AM

35 East St, Ilminster TA19 0AN, United Kingdom

“I have now visited three times What a beautiful, atmospheric building, to bring to life its many exhibitions of very high calibre photography, paintings, crafts and textiles. The staff are very helpful and pleasant, most certainly a place I would like to visit again!!”
