Landscape Arch

U.S. 191, Moab, UT 84532, United States

“Nice hike of the first part of the fill devil's garden loop. About 1.8mi to the arch and back. Trail is easy, mostly flat with some inclined areas. Winder afternoons the trail can be chilly as it gets shaded by the rock walls. Parking available but will get filled quickly in peak times. Bathroom at the trailhead.”

Portal Rv Resort - Moab

“Sadly we just left after staying at this wonderful resort for the entire month of October 2023. Before I say too much more….let me say this, we have already booked the month of October for 2024 next year. Now to the nitty gritty; - the pool and spa were well cared for and chemicals checked daily to ensure a clean and safe environment. - bathrooms are cleaned and present extremely well with a “Moab” feel to the design. - most of the sites are very spacious and well laid out. Some of the camping area sites can be a bit tight. - the resort is located 3 minutes to the cute town of Moab that features many shops and restaurants. Or tons of Jeep and side x side rental shops. - Arches Natl. Park is also literally 5 mins drive away. You couldn’t get a better located park. - BONUS: there are cows and horses grazing in the adjacent fields which make for a fun time for animal lovers or kids who perhaps have never fed an apple or carrot to a horse. Btw, cows love them too!!! We are going to miss our four legged friends. - the small pond features a very quaint water feature that is soothing and pretty to see during the day while the back lake features fish swimming amongst two water features that are also lit up at night making it a def park feature. - from the moment you wake up until you turn in, the scenery surrounding the park is amazing. Trust me when I say, you will never stay in another park as beautiful featuring Moab as this one. During our month long stay we got to meet many of the owners of several Rv lots. “Yes” you can even buy your own lot there. I don’t know all the details but the lots are beautiful and “most” are available to rent throughout the year. Check with the office for details. Some of the owners we had the pleasure of meeting were; Alan and Lori, Jeff and Zack (his son) and Dianne and Gary. We were even able to “break bread” with them on an occasion or two. Now the best for the last……the staff at Portal Rv Resort; Teri the Manager: super kind and very friendly while being extremely attentive to our needs. She is genuinely concerned about the quality of your stay and isn’t afraid to ask how things are going or how can we make it better. Polly and Trevor the maintenance crew: you won’t find harder working people prepping sites for the next guests or checking the pool etc. too much to mention all what they do but trust me when I say they keep the place looking tip top and do so with a friendly demeanour to the guests. Want or need something special? Ask Trevor or Polly. Outstanding!!! Pat on the front desk: OMG, you want customer service and someone who will bend over backwards to get you a site? You better hope Pat answers the phone. Regardless when you check in she will have a smile and a friendly welcome for you as she gets you all set up for your stay. Andrew and Abby: maintenance and housekeeping. These kids worked their tails off and always had a smile on their face. Getting to know the staff over the month, we learned of a few things that they did that went above and beyond for the cabin/house owners and Roberts Resorts. Jenn and Lucy: they just arrived the last week we were there but we were impressed by how quickly they rolled into the process. Seemingly hard workers with a VERy friendly demeanour. They will be there over the winter months. They are great. Now the place wasn’t perfect…..the one thing I would really love to see the park do is pave the roads. This would do wonders for keeping the dust down on the rigs. Also if I’m being honest, the pool could use some repairs and sprucing up. Sounds simple enough but I’m sure is a very expensive price tag. Just some food for thought for the management at Roberts resorts. Pro tip for Roberts resorts: keep your staff. You have a winning combination. Loved our stay and thanks to EVERYONE. see you next October.”
