Van Gogh New Orleans: The Immersive Experience
4.8
( 8 reviews )

New Orleans Scottish Rite Temple, 619 Carondelet St, New Orleans, LA 70130, United States

“Van Gogh New Orleans was absolutely breathtaking! Soon as we walked in, we were submerged in all that made Van Gogh so mesmerizing. The wood carved sunflowers were beautiful! And I personally enjoyed all the history that was throughout the entire exhibit. My wife doesn't really know much about Vincent Van Gogh, however she said the exhibit was one of the best she's ever been to. We especially loved the ending, where we were able to create our own masterpiece. I strongly suggest making a stop to this exhibit during your New Orleans trip. Even if you aren't that into to art, you would still truly enjoy it.”

“Carefully put together collection of New Orleans history! A street car named Desire pieces are on display here as well as one of the last functioning home organs in America! They have an interactive map when you walk in that has a free downloadable app for walkable DIY tour routes of the city for various things! (Movie locations/ famous people/drinking tours etc..) There's an excavated well in the center courtyard that shows you the water level in NOLA in real time! Gift Shop was full of handmade pieces from local artists and wasn't just another tourist trap!”

“This guided tour was really incredible. We saw the sign for it walking down the street and decided to take a chance- it paid off. We learned more in the hour tour here than anywhere else in NOLA! The tour guide was so kind and informative, taking time to answer all our questions. Learning about the enslaved people of urban NOLA is so important when taking in this city’s history.”

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 06:00 AM

4920 Freret St, New Orleans, LA 70115, United States

“This is a review just of the outdoor bar area; there was no live music on the night I went. Laid-back open-air bar with a trippy vibe, fabulous wall murals, and a good drinks list that covers both the basics and some more complex recipes. Quiet enough for hours of conversation if there's no live music on that night; an excellent hangout spot and would make a worthy local.”
