Top 5 Arts & Entertainment in Alameda County

Albany Bulb
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

1 Buchanan St, Albany, CA 94706, United States

“A small little nature world right next to the concrete jungle, very artsy. I love it!”

Pacific Pinball Museum
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

1510 Webster St, Alameda, CA 94501, United States

“This place is amazing and a real treasure! One entry fee for all-you-can-play pinball! The machines are in very good condition and each one features signage detailing the history and significance of the game. The non-profit Pacific Pinball Museum takes its mission seriously, educating the public about the art and sport of pinball. They also have awesome jukeboxes, free to play, with music from the decade matching each game room they are found in. Admission price is totally reasonable, they do offer a student/senior/teacher discount and I got my money's worth in the first hour of play! Personally I prefer to pay one price, then play for free, compared with paying for each game as I go. The city of Alameda is clean and safe, unlike neighboring Oakland, and there are places to eat nearby if you get hungry and take a break from playing pinball; the PPM gives you a wristband to leave and come back in on the same day. The staff is friendly and they obviously love what they do. I recommend setting aside several hours to enjoy all the various pinball tables and exhibits. They also have merch for sale. Admission is half price on Tuesdays. You cannot go wrong with the Pacific Pinball Museum because it is a TON of FUN!!!”

Morcom Rose Garden
4.7
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 07:00 AM

700 Jean St, Oakland, CA 94610, United States

“🌹🌼🍃 As a nature enthusiast, my visit to the municipal rose garden in Oakland was an absolute delight! The moment I stepped into the garden, I was greeted with the intoxicating fragrance of roses that instantly transported me to a serene …”

Cal Performances
4.7
( 10 reviews )

101 Zellerbach Hall, Berkeley, CA 94720, United States

“I have been going to Cal Performances since I was a kid and I really appreciate the diversity of performers they bring in. There really is something for everyone. I hope they continue on for decades! The arts are so important! Zellerbach is great. They are back to serving alcohol/drinks and snacks. I suppose parking is a negative -- they open the lot under the hall and down by the RSF. I didn't see how much they charge since it was a night show and we were able to find free 2 hour parking on the street but that is something to take into account.”

Niles Canyon Railway
4.7
( 8 reviews )

6 Kilkare Rd, Sunol, CA 94586, United States

“Loved this train ride! The conductor Jorg was awesome with my kiddos and made everything fun! Totally worth the trip and time to come out!”

Marcus Book Stores
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

3900 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Oakland, CA 94609, United States

“When I entered Marcus Books (we went there immediately after I flight landed in SF), I felt like I'd arrived home. I approached the front counter and asked the lady behind the desk if she was the owner. Her response, "Yes, I'm one of them." When I told her that I LOVE the bookstore, she said, "It loves you back." What an amazing store, the selection is broad and comprehensive, featuring multiple genres by and about Black ppl. I limited myself to 3 books and nothing else, which was a deal I had to make with myself before entering!! LOL! The feeling of being in a bookshop that's been around since the 1960s is indescribable. I love, love, love it. Thanks for all you do, Marcus Books.”

Cinemark Century Southland Mall
4.5
( 8 reviews )

256 Southland Mall, Hayward, CA 94545, United States

“Homeless guy was in our showing and stunk up the whole theatre so we walked out 15m into the movie. The manager was respectful though and understanding. Im sure the kids working the counters are probably afraid to say anything, but he shouldnt have been allowed in there especially when theirs children present and the guys not mentally stable.”

Oakland Aviation Museum
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

8252 Earhart Rd, Oakland, CA 94621, United States

“I love planes, so as soon as I found out about this place, I wanted to go. There is a large variety of planes from the wright brothers plane to one person drones, to flying boats. If you like planes or any mechanical stuff, you would love getting up close with all of these planes. It took about 2 hours to look at all of the planes. But we didn't use any of the interactive things such as the flight simulator or checking out the interior of the planes that supported tours.”

Kidtopia Indoor Play Center
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

4620 Auto Mall Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538, United States

“This place is disgusting, there’s dust everywhere and the facility isn’t well taken care of. Super cheap management. It looks like they never update the toys, they’re all very old and so many parts are missing, therefore eliminating the amount of toys kids can play with. To top it off, they never turn on the AC or Heat. In winter it’s freezing and in summer it’s unbearably hot. They’ve also shut off their water fountains because they want you to purchase water. Horrible place. I wish there were better and more indoor playgrounds in the area!”

Oakland First Fridays
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 05:00 PM

2633 Telegraph Ave Ste 109, Oakland, CA 94612, United States

“If you're lucky to be available and present on a first friday it's almost always the move. It will really give you a perspective on Oakland's melting pot. It originally started with a gallary crawl, and now it's almost like a city wide block party. You can dance, eat, drink, and move the scene elsewhere after on telegraph. The street is closed for pedestrians and event at this time.”
