Top 5 Arts & Entertainment in Scottish Borders

Jim Clark Motorsport Museum
4.8
( 8 reviews )

44 Newtown St, Duns TD11 3AU, United Kingdom

“Not dog friendly. This was not an issue for our visit as the boys stayed in the car. It took 30-40 minutes to go around. On the ground floor so wheelchair friendly. £6 per adult. Worth a visit.”

Royal Border Bridge
4.7
( 8 reviews )

River Tweed, United Kingdom

“Border - what border? Ironically named railway bridge across the River Tweed on a line that actually crosses the border approximately 2.5 miles north of Berwick. The bridge dominates the skyline all along the riverside in both Berwick and Tweedmouth”

Jedburgh Castle Jail & Museum
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Castle Gate, Jedburgh TD8 6AS, United Kingdom

“Very interesting and informative, The grandaughters enjoyed it, so did us adults, it is free but we left a donation, definitely worth a visit.”

Thirlestane Castle
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Thirlestane Castle, Lauder TD2 6RU, United Kingdom

“Went there for the BVAC Classic car show. Parking was good, but the entrance to the event from the car park was poorly envisaged as there was a fence in the way. The only way in and out of the event was to climb the fence or walk God knows to where to get round the fence as there were no signs or staff to help. The event itself was good with lots to see, but plenty of walking on uneven ground was required. Good weather made it a good day out for most of the really large crowd.”

The Great Tapestry Of Scotland
4.8
( 8 reviews )

14-20 High St, Galashiels TD1 1SD, United Kingdom

“This place is incredible - great building, fantastic display with all the panels of embroidery telling Scotland’s history in an interesting way. Really friendly staff and an easy place to get to from Edinburgh by train. Highly recommend it - I’ll have to return as I’d need a few visits to take in all the panels.”

“Fantastic venue and great staff. We’ve seen quite a few music gigs here this year, and love it. It's a fantastic place to see bands play. Keep up the fantastic work!”

Bowhill House

( 10 reviews )

Bowhill House, Selkirk TD7 5ET, United Kingdom

“Beautiful snowy walk up the Duchess road. Some great views and photo opportunities. Didn't get a chance to do the other walks but will return later in the year.”

Hermitage Castle
4.5
( 16 reviews )

Newcastleton, Hawick TD9 0LU, United Kingdom

“What a place! Visited on a sunny beautiful Tuesday morning. Driving there on the single track roads winding through the hills you could not see the castle till you were very close to it. Such a mind blowing and Huge castle in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely brilliant place to visit and the surrounding area is so beautiful also. The staff member at the site was so so nice and she was so helpful especially with all the questions we bombarded her with.”
