“Great venue for live music. Intimate setting and great value. High class food and drink. Friendly and efficient staff. Looking forward to a return visit.”
Victoria Tunnel Entrance, Ouse St, Byker, Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 2PF, United Kingdom
“Highly recommended tour. Our guides ( Mel and Mike, hope I've got your names right and apologies if I haven't) were fantastic. Very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and also very sad in some circumstances. Go visit.”
St Mary's Square, Gateshead NE8 2JR, United Kingdom
“Very beautiful venue. Attended today for a graduation ceremony, and I was really impressed with the building. It's beautiful inside. Parking was a little bit of an issue, but I was helped by a lovely, friendly gentleman who directed me and provided me with a ticket due to having my disabled daughter with me and exchanged it for a free pass. The car park did say it was full however it wasn't- that's why I am not awarding 5 stars. The staff inside the venue were lovely and helpful too. No complaints. Toilets were lovely and clean. Lots of disabled access, too.”
The Avenue, Washington NE38 7LE, United Kingdom
“This is a real gem. Quite a small property but with lots of history dating from 14th century, with a 17th century dining room, kitchen and panelled room reconstruction, including having been converted into miners’ tenements in the late 19th and early 20th century, with a tenement reconstructed room upstairs, plus the ancestral connection with George Washington. The house is well set out and volunteer guides very friendly and informative. There is a small shop on site, and toilets, but no cafe.”
67a Westgate Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1SG, United Kingdom
“We did The Heist and it was great fun! The rooms seem so well thought-out and they are so engaging with loads of little details and things to notice. Well worth the price. The staff are very kind and helpful too. Would 100% recommend this to a friend/family member and would go to EXIT again with no hesitation!”
1st Hadrian House, Higham Pl, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8AF, United Kingdom
“Good food, nicely priced pool tables. Only issue is finding the place but other than that it's great”
Buddle St, Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne NE28 6HR, United Kingdom
“Would be an interesting afternoon out for history-inclined young people but there’s not much to see and the exhibits are pretty minimal.”
Craigavon Rd, Sunderland SR5 3PA, United Kingdom
“Had a great day in the grounds of the castle watching the Civil War re-enactment. The volunteers made us feel very welcome, and the civil war members spent a great time explaining the intricacies of what they were portraying. Well done everyone.”
S Shore Rd, Gateshead NE8 3BA, United Kingdom
“Always worth a visit! Great free gallery, excellent gift shop, lovely cup of coffee. Excellent staff, too. Very helpful and polite.”
