Top 5 Arts & Entertainment in San Diego County

Alcazar Garden
4.7
( 10 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

1363 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101, United States

“It's a beautiful garden when the flowers are in full bloom. It does get pretty busy during the day and on the weekends. You'll see many portrait/wedding photographers taking photos. I recommend visiting in the later evening during the weekday for a more peaceful experience.”

Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Open until 03:00 PM

2241 Shelter Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92106, United States

“First time at Humphrey's for The Teskey Brothers, and it was beautiful. Great venue, parking was very easy ( which is not usually the case in San Diego), and the entrance was very well organized and quick access to inside the venue. Drinks were normal priced, staff very friendly, and we ( my wife and I) had an absolutely great time! The fake grass ( lawn area) was well taken care of, and the stage was very easy to see from anywhere you wanted to stand. The sound was superb, and the show was unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back.”

Alta Vista Botanical Gardens
4.6
( 16 reviews )

1270 Vale Terrace Dr, Vista, CA 92084, United States

“Very cool and interesting garden. My kiddos love the sculptures and the children’s section. The turtles in the ponds are a big hit with them as well! I live much closer to the San Diego botanic gardens but I prefer the more natural and laid back feel at this one. Can beat the price of $5 an adult, $3 for children.”

Galleta Meadows
4.8
( 16 reviews )

Borrego Springs, CA 92004, United States

“Spectacular metal sculptures all over the place. We only visited 53 while more than 100 should be out there. Some Google Maps coordinates of certain sculptures are not correct. But that is not a real problem, because you will see most of them from a distance!”

Mingei International Museum
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

Balboa Park, Plaza de Panama, 1439 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101, United States

“This is a fascinating museum. We have visited twice, and both times been amazed at exhibits. Paper art from Japan was pretty astounding, but in particular paper "lace" with amazing detail. The museum's restaurant was equally fabulous, with meals from many cultures. The board room features a long wood table and chairs that reflect the artistry of woodworking. This place is a visual treat and should not be missed if strolling Balboa Park. Wheelchair access was quite straightforward as well.”

Museum Of Photographic Arts At The San Diego Museum Of Art
4.5
( 10 reviews )

1649 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101, United States

“I enjoy stopping by this little museum. Right now they have some interesting artwork from local high school students as well as James Balog. I liked Balog's endangered species works, especially, "Man and Ape" as well as the Panda photo shoot. Follow me for more reviews!”

Vinyl Junkies Record Shack
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

2235 Fern St, San Diego, CA 92104, United States

“I went to a Friday the 13th tattoo event near by. Let's just say instead of $200 on a sticker book tattoo, I spent almost $200 on vinyl. Way worth it. The place has a ton to choose from and they give you a neat tote bag for your purchase. Will be coming back for sure! The guy working there was able to locate a particular record I was looking for and he was very nice.”

Queen Bee's Art And Cultural Center
4.5
( 16 reviews )

3925 Ohio St, San Diego, CA 92104, United States

“I like going to all ages shows here with the family. It's a fun little dive. But parking is outrageous in this neighborhood, so be prepared to shell out more cash!”

Village Theater
4.7
( 10 reviews )

820 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118, United States

“So wonderful and vintage! The seats are bit bouncy, but that's expected of an older theater!”

Lou's Records
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

434 N Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas, CA 92024, United States

“Finally got a chance to stop by this place in person after ordering something online. It gets a 5/5 from me. I liked the selection and the prices. Even beyond that, I appreciated how really well organized it is. I'm an aging Gen X'r with bad knees and a lot of stores will put stock on the floor, which makes it harder for me to see. But there was a well organized set of bins all the way around the perimeter of the store plus displays on the wall and behind the bins....really easy to see. So it made looking for stuff easy. Note: I'm a collector looking more for new vinyl and represses these days so not a big used vinyl customer. This place has some used but definitely has more new stuff, if that matters to you. Also, parking is pretty limited. Will be back for sure!”
