We ordered… - Sate Beef Pho: flavour was on point, came with plenty of meat and veggies and sunny side up egg. - Spicy Lemongrass Pho: not as spicy as I expected it to, but the flavours were great! There was a generous amount of meat. - Fried Spring Rolls: highly recommend you order. It was super crispy and when soaked in the dipping sauce, it was to die for! All the food came out steaming hot and was still hot by the time I finished eating. That’s the way I like it!”

While still enjoyable, it fell slightly short in comparison to the rest of the offerings. The meringue's texture, though good, wasn't as crisp as I would anticipated. Nevertheless, it didn't overshadow the overall memorable evening.”

“One of my all time favourite spots for chili chicken. Chung Moi is a family owned restaurant with a small cozy interior. I notice there’s regulars that come often as the owners (who are there most of the time when I visit), seem to recognize them. Their menu has a variety of dishes to choose from, but I mainly only tried their chili chicken. There are 2 options to choose from - with gravy or dry. Both versions are amazing, it’s just dependent if you’re looking for more sauce. Personally I prefer the dry because usually sauce would make the chicken not as crispy, so the dry version tends to be crispier. There is a kick (even with mild spiciness), so be prepared if you’re not good with spicy food. Also be mindful the chili chicken doesn’t come with rice, so you’ll have to order it separately. The sashimi, curry and the skewers were very tasty, skip the pickles-they are not impressive, but the best ones, the ones I recommend, would be the miso mackerel and the Tokyo toast- so good! Took one star off of service because while the staff was courteous and communicative when serving you, it was pretty difficult to catch their attention in the first place. All in all, its a good place to try.”

The atmosphere is quiet and a great layout, not a huge place so at peak times you may have to wait for a table. I’ve purchased takeout as well and quality is still superior to other sushi takeout. A favourite place of mine for lunch. The food is top notch, always peak freshness, excellent presentation as well.”

The food was good and the prices were reasonable (I like that all the prices were on their menu online so there’s no surprises). I would say that the visit was more about the experience than the food itself - if you’re looking for mind blowing flavours and food, this isn’t it; but if you’re looking for something fun to do for a birthday/special occasion, I can recommend this. The service was superb - consistent subtle attention from the server, my water glass was never empty, didn’t feel pressured to leave immediately after paying our bill, etc. Parking in the area is mostly paid parking but reasonable - a few metered spots within the block and there is also the underground parking with an entrance in the alley behind the restaurant. One thing to note for both the owner and patrons - at the time of my review the entrance door was very difficult to open (it was not particularly windy or anything). Hopefully this can get resolved!”

The restaurant looks really nice and the servers were so friendly and helpful. The food all tasted great but my only complaint was that the dynamite roll had way too much crab, which is probably a good bad thing. The prices here are amazing, I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were for the quality and tastiness. The food all came out quickly and we really enjoyed our meal. I will come back next time I'm in Cranbrook.”
