Order and pay at the counter (point of sale has tip window), food comes to your table in styrofoam dishes with plastic cutlery and you bus yourself. Restroom exists but through curtain behind counter.”

“Really good Japanese food, the atmosphere is trendy casual and modern, loved the fact that they have limited menu EVERY day! We tried the 10 kinds of sashimi and it was amazing, the uni was very similar to what we tried in Japan and at a decent price. Grilled salmon set was also surprisingly large in terms of portion and very tasty. The oxen was a bit pricey compared to the others but the wagyu would literally melt in your mouth. Hojicha tiramisu was also very nice, appreciate that they made the tea flavor strong enough and not too sweet!”

“The food is amazing so are the drinks but it is always super crowded and there is a wait time. Even on a week night (Wednesday 7pm) we had to wait 15-20 minutes for a table. The portions are pretty large so try sharing and getting appetizers instead of entrees. The octopus (appetizer) is super spicy I would recommend getting a bowl of rice with it. For drinks I would recommend getting a cocktails since they are pretty strong and go well with the dishes. I would go back for sure and try different dishes.”

“Kwan Tip Thai is a decent restaurant for Thai dishes. I usually order chicken or beef Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Basil Fried Rice. Sometimes, I ordered the Crispy Trout with Salad. All are pretty good. The papaya salad needs some improvement. The restaurant calls it Laos-style papaya salad, served with shredded papaya, tomato, carrot, and cabbage. There is no crab paste, no lime taste (not sour), and it is super salty. That's not the Laos style I had at other Laos/ Thai restaurants. The fried chicken wings would go well with the papaya salad, but it's chewy and needs more seasoning. We got the sticky rice, and it's always good. My wife and I order food from Kwan Tip Thai regularly, and I wish they could make improvements in the cooking and the attention to detail when taking customers' orders. We phone-ordered the beef pad see ew, for example and got the chicken pad see ew instead.”

Just get there early, be prepared to sit outside if needed (wear warm clothing and let the warm congee heat you up). The food is incredible. Parking is ample at the common parking lot towards the back of the restaurant. Reserving a table is all online and do ensure you have one reserved before you get there. Food is pricey, and quantities are becoming of a Michelin star restaurant but the experience and experimentation with food is amazing. We loved the entres more than the main courses. They were more well prepared with a lot more attention to detail. The main courses were just basic like most other places. The parle-G cheese cake was nice Definitely worth a visit!”
