“Nice waterfront restaurant with decent food Our favourite dish was the seafood linguine - the pasta had a nice texture, the sauce was savoury and seafoody and the lobster in it was very nice! The barramundi was nice with a very tasty sauce, but the overall dish was underwhelming for the price. The shoestring fries were good but $14 is quite expensive for it. The duck liver & plum pate was a very nice starter but, similarly, quite expensive for what we get. Overall, the food wasn’t out of this world; so it didn’t really justify their price point. But the restaurant being waterfront does give a really nice atmosphere and the service was pretty good. Also, if you stay at the Sheraton, it’s only a couple minutes walk from there!”

“Pleasant Greek restaurant with blue and white decor and quite sparkling in the evening. The seating is variable with booth, various size tables and lounge style seating. Order both food and drinks at the counter. The fish and chips were good and Greek salad very authentic and what one would find served in Greece. My margarita pizza was disappointing- very oily. The staff were all extremely pleasant. Cocktails are half price during happy hour.”

“We always enjoy a Quesadilla plus from this GYG. All the meats are good but I can especially recommend beef brisket. Get with some of their seasoned fries. Wash it all down with a Corona or Jarritos Mexican Cola. They do serve up a really great feed. 👍”

“If I could give 0 stars I would. I've travelled this country.. was recommended this place. Had to get takeaway.. as they had reserved tables for ppl getting there 1.5hrs after we got there! Very high price.. especially for quantity given, food completely tasteless.. sauce given was size of 5c piece (maybe got 1teaspoon worth), asked for a bit more, was informed we would need to pay for more!.. (photos of sauce provided which is in comparison to macadamia nut and a teaspoon!, we had tried the sauce, horrible) not value for money at all.. not even close, especially as I've spent all morning on the toilet...”

“Normally a great feed but today was super disappointing. Spent $100 on snapper and chips for the whole family to have the meal ruined with salt. I’m talking half a kilo of chicken salt dumped over $91/ kilo fish. It was barely edible. Even the kids didn’t want to eat it.”

“Based on my side of the experience, I would highly recommend MK Cafe in New Farm. The location was perfect for a morning breakfast, and the front-of-house staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The service was quick and efficient, with our food arriving promptly and with a smile. The atmosphere was enjoyable, with a great balance of energy and calm that made for a perfect start to the day. The standout dish for me was the Egg Benedict - the eggs were perfectly cooked with a runny yolk, and the bread was toasted to perfection. The combination of flavors and textures was spot-on, and it was clear that great care had been taken in preparing the dish. The coffee was also wonderful - a great complement to the breakfast and a perfect way to start the day. Overall, I would highly recommend MK Cafe to anyone in the area. If you're looking for a great breakfast spot with friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food and coffee, this is definitely the place to go. I know I'll be back for sure!”

“Today me and my sister went to the pelican nest cafe and it was an awesome experience. The workers were nice the scenery was AMAZING 🤩 and the lighting oh my goodness it was a fantastic like who knew. The food was OFF THE CHARTS very fulling and def worth the price. But it did take a little longer than you would expect it too and the birds were everywhere so that wasn’t very good but overall this cafe is so amazing so good and def recommend if u want fish and chips”

“Would give lower if possible. Ordered the Wagyu Steak for the wife and I. When they arrived they were cooked to order but one of the steaks was of a shocking quality with sinew and tendon all through it. Nobody came to ask if the meal was okay. I stated however that the meal was unsatisfactory when the lady eventually came to take the full plate away. I told her what the problem was and never heard anymore about it until we were leaving. We were then offered a desert or voucher!! The point that I was more annoyed about however was the ordering of a soft drink for my 8yr old daughter which the waitress new about. We ordered a ginger beer (alcohol free obviously as stated) which we made clear. After she had drank some of the tin we discovered they had given her an alcoholic drink! They are busy at this place but quality is awful. When another establishment in town sorts an outlet that delivers food of a reasonable standard this place will be history.. A shambles.. Worth mentioning that at no point was I offered a refund for the inedible steak... 🤬 For discerning customers after more than a feed I would avoid thus food hall...”
