“We love it! An authentic Steyrer institution with such great food, beautiful atmosphere and just in general cool ideas 💡 innovative dishes, perfect mixture between traditional and creative cuisine. Make sure to reserve a table in advance or get the food for takeaway because the great reputation fills the restaurant practically by itself. The location is perfect, easily walkable from anywhere within the old town and new town, parking can be found at the University close by. Decor and furniture inside are just lovely 😻”

Draught beers are from local breweries, schnaps as well from local farmers. The beer selection was impressive, and I must say, the brews were super tasty. They perfectly complemented the flavors of the food and added to the overall dining experience. Speaking of food, the Asparagus Cordon Bleu was another winner. It was a delightful twist on a classic dish, and the flavors were superb. The asparagus was cooked just right, and the cheese and ham filling inside the crispy breaded chicken was simply mouthwatering. The restaurant has a lovely Biergarten on Linz, and what a delightful spot it is! The ambiance was charming, and it was a pleasure to dine in such a beautiful setting. Plus, it's conveniently located near Hauptplatz, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors. The service at this restaurant deserves a special mention. The staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient. They made sure we felt welcome from the moment we walked in, and our orders arrived surprisingly quickly. We truly appreciated the prompt service without feeling rushed. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good dining experience. The excellent Schweinebraten, super beer, and tasty Asparagus Cordon Bleu will leave you satisfied, and the Biergarten provides a lovely atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Don't miss out on this gem!”

“On recommendations we were in the "Stifts Keller" and were positively surprised by the quality and the ambience on the terrace so that we dined again for lunch the very next day. The brewery's own beer is well drinkable, the service is nimble from the first order to food and drink and to the bill. Great team. 👍 The beef burger is really recommended, but also the asparagus salad with breaded asparagus has surprised me very much (do not like to eat asparagus) the curry, however, was good but not decisive for us. Price performance still highly recommended!”

“I only ended up here because it was the closest restaurant to the place I stayed iin, and I was lucky to get a table on Friday evening, as it was nearly fully booked. I really recommend it if you happen to be nearby - atmosphere is pleasant and service fast, food is very good (though my Keiserschmarrn was a bit overfried), and wine selection is great! The place really popular among locals which means something, right? 😀”

“I had a wonderful evening in this delightful and simple little restaurant! Though they were expecting a party of 30 and understaffed by their own admission, it was not at all apparent as I was seated and served promptly with one of the most delicious meals I've had this trip - and if I could have licked the plate I would have (but the other patrons may have been disturbed by this and the remnants that would have remained in my beard, I'm afraid). The wine-infused braised beef shoulder was as tender and flavourful as I've ever had, balanced perfectly with the thinly sliced potato and soft vegetables. I could have happily had another plate, but had instead a delicious, freshly baked dessert. I'll definitely be coming back and would gladly recommend a visit! 7/5 stars!”
