“I had third party import a Mercedes C250 for me to the Netherlands. Overall I am extremely happy with the car and the price was definitely right. The only problem is that the battery was due for a replacement at the time the car was sold to me. The car was still running, but certain systems such as auto start/stop were not working from the beginning. This indicates a worn battery. I brought the car to a Mercedes dealer in Amsterdam who said that I should not continue driving with the battery in that state. As such, the battery was immediately replaced. When contacting Auto Jesse about the costs, they said that the costs would not be covered under guarantee since a battery is exempt from guarantee - calling it a "wear-and-tear" part. I disagreed because the battery was already worn when it was sold to me. Of course I understand that I should have gone to Germany with the car, so that they could sort it out under their guarantee, but I did not want to make the trip with an empty battery as you might understand. Auto Jesse twice told my that they would not cover any costs because of the "wear-and-tear" nature of a battery. Subsequently, I proposed a 20% - 80% split for the costs (80% to be paid by me, 20% by Auto Jesse - EUR75,-) , after which Auto Jesse stopped replying to my e-mails. Although I am extremely happy with the car, it is the last car I will buy from auto Jesse. Aftercare is not up to scratch for an expensive car.”
