“Used to love the mocha here as it was strong, but today, it was kinda mild/ bland with a rather slight chocolatey taste. Coffee was OK. The croissants are yummy. The vibe of this cafe is good. Great for a chitchat with friends, to do some work or just to wind down. Saw others who ordered coconuts, which surprised me. Ha.”

“I was thrilled about the menu, it had a mouthwatering selection. I ended up ordering their Mac n’ Cheese, PB&J cookie and sort of a tonic coffee. The food is just okay. Not worth the price. Too expensive for the taste. I could feel the starch on the Mac n’ Cheese sauce, like the roux need more time to cook. I also expected it to be stringy and cheesy but yeah, it was starchy. The PB&J cookie is nice. The coffee is refreshing. The place is spacious, clean, what I didn’t like was the music. Too loud. The staff were all nice and attentive. Friendly. Extra points for the question cards to help you have a meaningful and fun conversation with your companion.”

I also tried their slow brewed coffee which comes with detailed information about it's origin and notes. Overall, really liked the place & would definitely recommend their slow brewed coffee.”

“food and service were superb, friendly staff to lovely food. Muffins and brunch were great alongside the staffs whom went out of the way with my indecisiveness from the variety of muffins, definitely coming again. It does get crowded during lunch which affects the atmosphere alittle but that was to be expected as well”

“Very rude staff - chasing customers by shouting. He even shouted towards our pregnant friend. We feedback to manager but the manager himself doesn’t pay attention and laugh at the situation. We understand that they’re closing by 10pm yet why does he needs to shout and push the chairs forcefully and angrily while chasing people away. We‘ve been in other Starbucks outlet but this is a worst encounter with this kind of rude staff. Really unacceptable!”

“Quaint little cafe, tucked away from the usual hustle & bustle of the Somerset area. My first time trying vegan food, so I was not sure what to expect. To my pleasant surprise, the food was really delicious, and I also enjoyed my time at the cafe. We got the Peanut Tempeh Sandwich, Mushroom Knife-cut Noodles Stir-fry and the Loaded Tater Tots. I love mushrooms and leafy greens, so I was already anticipating the Noodles to be quite yummy (which it was!). The noodles were al dente chewy and paired well with the rest of the ingredients, including the tempeh slices. What I wasn't expecting though, was how yummy the Peanut Tempeh Sandwich was! I thought the sandwich was going to be just average, but it was surprisingly really good! Even my bf agreed that it was really good! The sandwich bread used was a nine grain toast, and it was soft and nice. Unlike the common multi-grain breads, which are usually quite dry and hard. I really didn't expect myself to quite like the sandwich, as I am not really a "sandwich person". So I highly recommend it! The Loaded Tater Tots was abit of a surprise as well. I didn't think that kimchi mayo and korean seaweed would go well together with the tater tots. In fact, I was in two minds about ordering it, but the bf just went ahead to order it. Surprisingly, the seaweed gave the dish an added fragrance and crunch to the tater tots, and the kimchi mayo was tasty enough without any overpowering kimchi taste. Just when I thought I was already too full to eat anymore, my eyes wandered over to the gelato display, and i got curious over the flavors available. Especially the flavor of Berry & Hibiscus Sorbet. So even though we were already quite full, we knew we just had to try the gelato. I was also wondering how vegan gelato would actually taste like, since no dairy products would be used. I chose the Berry & Hibiscus flavor, and the bf chose the Black Sesame flavor. Both flavors tasted pretty much like normal (dairy) gelato. The Black Sesame flavor was very smooth and actually tasted comparable to the Japanese ones. But the Berry & Hibiscus flavor wins hands down, it was both bf and mine's favourite! It was not too sweet, and tasted kinda refreshing! We also had a nice chat with the friendly staff, who educated us more about vegan foods, and how the cafe operates. The cafe even offers private dining and events options! As it was nearing the Lunar New Year season, there were vegan pineapple tarts and sesame cookies for sale too. The cafe also has a little merchandise corner, with vegan bakes & snacks for sale too. We got to sample the Chia Waffle Chips with our gelato, and I liked it so much that I decided to buy a pack home. We were at the cafe on a Friday late afternoon, and it was a nice experience, as there was no crowd, and we took the time to enjoy the quietness and cosy atmosphere of this little cafe. Not sure about the crowd situation over the weekend, but the staff told us it can get pretty filled up. So if you prefer to enjoy a relaxing moment at the cafe, perhaps better to head down on a weekday instead. We arrived at the cafe, not knowing what to expect, but left feeling very satisfied and happy. This visit to Lilac Oak really helped to change our minds about vegan food (especially for the bf). And we are looking forward to our next visit!”

“Just visited Group Therapy Coffee in Singapore and it was a sublime experience! The café exudes a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff were attentive and friendly. As for the coffee, it was simply outstanding - rich and smooth. Their breakfast menu is also worth a try, especially the pancake stack. The place was buzzing but still maintained a laid-back vibe. It's tucked away on the second floor, making it a tranquil escape from the city's hustle. All in all, a true gem for coffee lovers and breakfast enthusiasts. Can't wait to go back!”

“A cafe that opens at 7am in the morning? Well, that suits my time table for that day as I want to have a quick breakfast and continue with my tasks for that day. 6 Letter Coffee started their operation in 2019 in Tanjong Katong Road and believe in creating happiness through their collective spaces and dining selections for customers of all ages. They provide all-day menu for breakfast to dinner and of course Coffee. 6 Letter Coffee The early bird catches the worm! We had the whole cafe to ourselves since we were their first customers. The theme of the cafe gives a garden feel and you can see that staff are busy taking care of the plant early in the morning. Interior Cafe Space Matcha can be served sweetened or unsweetened. Love the smooth texture of the drink with Matcha powder topping up the top layer. We had something special too, the Charcoal Cafe Latte, a combination of charcoal taste with the usual latte Matcha and Charcoal Cafe Latte - $7.80 & $7.30 With Rosti in their menu, I looked no further. We had their Signature 6 Letter Brunch with their housemade rosti cooked with healthy olive oil and served with housemade avocado mash instead. This gives a healthier and tastier choice to enjoy their rosti in every bite. The Brunch consist of housemade rosti, Norwegian smoked salmon, sunny side up egg, shitake mushrooms, fresh fruits (dragon fruits and grapes), mashed avocado and mixed salad. 6 Letter Brunch - $21 The Rosti was crispy and charred at some parts, giving some crispiness to the texture. Totally yummy and it might be quite filling for one pax too. We ordered their Chef Recommendation, the Good Day Breakfast. It comprises of crispy bacon, scramble eggs, arabiki pork sausages, shitake mushrooms, sourdough butter toast and mixed salad. Love this hearty breakfast meal with the combination of the items. The scrambled egg caught our attention for it looked so unique in its creamy and luscious appearance. Good Day Breakfast - $19 If you enjoy bacon, you will enjoy this too. It was a good experience visiting 6 Letter Cofee for the ambiance was nice with friendly service. I will like to be back for other selections on their menu.”

“They are selling food that is severely MOLDY! I would not recommend this store to anyone! I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a recent dining experience at Toast Box (MBS outlet) on September 16th at 6:25 pm. This encounter has not only left me dissatisfied but has also raised concerns about the quality of your products and the level of customer service. I purchased a mooncake and had already consumed half of it, to my shock and dismay, I discovered severe mold on the remaining portion. This is not only a clear violation of basic food safety standards but also poses a significant health hazard. This incident was aggravated by the highly unprofessional behavior and bad attitude of your staff. When I raised the issue, requested a refund, and asked to speak with the store manager, I was met with indifference and rudeness. Instead of offering assistance and working to resolve the problem, the staff in MBS I encountered displayed a complete lack of empathy and customer service skills. As a customer, I believe I have the right to expect a certain level of product quality and respectful treatment when dining. Regrettably, the experience I had fell far below these reasonable expectations.”
