“Great place to bring a kid to pet cats and maybe take one home with you. I didn't take one home. Took my kids here to drink coffee and pet some cats. Made a reservation online, super easy. Also sounds like you can call in too. Staff is friendly and made our drinks right away. Went in and played with the cats. Cuddle some and had some awwwww moments. So if you're watching a kid or need to kill an hour I would recommend this place. I didn't have any of their food but also did want ti giver them a bad review for not having them.”

“This was a stop on our way back from traverse city. Overall, was happy to find some coffee in this seasonal tourist town. I’ll start by saying the staff were really nice and welcoming. I was although disappointed by their brew options. Menu felt similar to what you might find at a biggby coffee shop. Their specialty was more in the espresso drink department and smoothies. For a roasting company I would have expected they would have offered more than just espresso and drip coffee. I’d be curious to see what their food options taste like”

“We had a large group of 8 and went to Blue Heron for the first time on a Saturday morning. We were greeted right when we walked in and were sat immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and was very attentive to our table. We were constantly refilled with coffee and water and our food came out fairly quick. The food was delicious, especially the potatoes! It’s never easy to handle a big group but they did quite well. 5 stars!”

“The avocado toast with an over easy egg was good. I would have liked 2 but if you just need an appetizer it's great with a drink to catch up with friends. No condiments on the tables so if you need them ask when you order because i didn't see any. Anything labeled joy will be super sweet and it was. I didn't add anything to it because it was so sweet I had to get water to drink instead. I wish they would have did a design in the drink but they didn't so I don't know which drinks get the cute flower milk designs like the photos online. Tea might be best to start with or just coffee. The staff was super nice and brought out the food. This is a cafe so don't expect fast service. Think more like friends cafe on TV. Great atmosphere and music. Go early before the crowd gets there because it's a great chill spot. I would go back to meet up with friends from out of town but not really on my own just for the food or drink. Its a great meet up and chill spot. Pay attention when turning into the place as it can get crowded in parking lot. You can charge your laptop while there too”

There are a wide variety of coffees, espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and teas to choose from. So many flavor combinations to try. Lots of sweet treats to choose from as well to go with your beverage. But it is the ambiance of this Coffee shop that makes the visit more than worth it. There is so much Beatles memorabilia in the Coffee Emporium. You can spend hours looking at the vast collection of items that feature John, Paul, George, and Ringo. The owners are friendly and super groovy. They are excellent baristas. Highly recommended.”

“When you walk in you can tell from the atmosphere that it is a warm place to have a nice cup of coffee. The was quite the variety of splendors to order like soups, sandwiches, and pastries. The flavored latte my party and I had were quite tasty, though, I was disappointed when I took the lid off my cup and saw that my cup was half full. The sandwiches were decent, I loved that I could make the sandwich my own by selecting what I wanted to put on it. Overall, I wouldn't mind going back to take some more pictures of the exposed brick and large windows. Cute and tiny place to hang out with friends or just by yourself to get work done.”

“Delicious breakfast and pretty good coffee! The eggs and potatoes were well seasoned and the bacon and sausage patties were cooked perfectly! The menu is extensive and we were impressed with the options available. We ordered coffee while we looked through the menu and it comes in a hefty mug, not one of those tiny mugs that has to be refilled every 5 minutes. The view from the windows are beautiful and you can take your food to go and sit outside on their patio if you’d like. They were only serving the 2 outside tables the front of the restaurant during the time we were there and I’m not sure if that’s because no one asked to sit on the patio or they didn’t have enough staff. Both were probably true. Inside the restaurant looked a bit dated and it was actually rather warm. That’s why I gave atmosphere a 4 rather than a 5 even with the views. Overall, I really enjoyed my breakfast and would return again! Oh, and the pancakes are HUUUUGGGEE!! I ordered one for my “breakfast dessert” and couldn’t believe how big it was.”

“Vegan here & I have loved this place for a long time but lately I only go in if I know either the owner or the girl are working. The tall gentleman who works there seems like he hates his job/unfriedly/slow and just doesn't make the drinks as good... If he is the only one working that day I just leave. I am still giving 4 stars because I love the atmosphere & the drinks, it is right next to my house, and aside from him the service is usually awesome. I'd recommend the smoothies especially!”
