Singer Hill Cafe
4.5

623 7th St, Oregon City, OR 97045, United States

“I love their coffee but their food is just “okay” Super cute place, a little outdated but lots of space to sit and visit. Staff is great and knowledgeable of their menu. I feel that I overpaid for the yogurt bowl I got. I think it was $10 (?) and was just a few small scoops with various fruits. Tasted good but not worth the price at all! My friends felt the same way about their sandwiches. Recommend the coffee for sure though! Lots of options and tasted fresh!”

“I dont how what she did but I had the best Pumpkin spice latte of my life here!! The balance of flavors was perfection. From the 3 sweets we tried we both agreed the pumpkin brioche donut was by far the best thing! The girl working there was very helpful and sweet. We asked for recommendations and she pointed us to great choices. If we lived in this city we would definitely make this our coffee spot :)”

“Stopped by here for a light lunch and tea while in the downtown area. They are a Japanese cafe primarily selling Japanese small bites and teas, but also sell Japanese arts, crafts, and household items to include small pieces of furniture. The bites range from sandwiches, rice balls, tofu, soups, bagel, baguette, edamame, etc... The teas are the traditional Japanese teas, but also include the typical coffees. Service was very fast and friendly. Ordered some rice balls, small cake, and teas. Grabbed a seat and looked at the arts and crafts for sell on the wall. Within 15 minutes everything was delivered to the table. In typical Japanese fashion, the presentation was perfect. The rice balls, cake, and teas looked exactly like the pictures in the menu. Food was very authentic and tasted great. Highly recommend this place if you want to come for some Japanese small bites and teas.”

“This place has good coffee. But the avocado toast is outstanding. The ricotta cheese sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning really makes it taste good. And the toast, whatever bread they use and it's thick cut, and they add an entire avocado on top. I also had them fried egg and put that on top. Excellent. Baked goods are also good, lots of variety. But the avocado toast is really the thing to get. I would come here daily. Internet access in case you need to work. Older clientele. Easy parking. Great atmosphere. Half of it is quiet and wood decor. The other half is a little more Cafe open feeling with tile and local artwork. Again, must highlight the avocado toast.”

“Loved this coffee shop! I have driven by this place multiple times and finally decided to stop and man am I glad I did! The aesthetics were warm and inviting and the owner greeted me kindly and provided wonderful service! The galette was delicious and the latte was perfection. I would 10/10 recommend!”

Grand Central Bakery - Hawthorne Cafe

2230 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97214, United States

“We got two sandwiches, the happy goat and veggie grinder, side salad, a fontina pull-apart & a pecan pull-apart, and a soda and chai. Both of the sandwiches were super good, loved the happy goat. The veggie grinder was good but the baguette was hard this day. The pastries were a little hard/dry too, esp the pecan pull-apart. The caramelized sugar on top had really hardened. We were understanding bc it was end of day for them. The chai was semi sweet and nicely spicy. The greens in the side salad were fresh and the dressing was good. Really enjoyed the cozy space on a rainy Portland day. But I've had baked goods from grand central before that were way better than what we had this day, so that was slightly disappointing. Still a good spot for a light lunch. Stopped into ecovibe next door afterwards for some shopping.”

Doppio Coffee

Open until 06:00 PM

310 Oak St, Hood River, OR 97031, United States

“The young crew there did not seem very happy about being at work. There was no hello, no smile when taking our order. The only young man that seemed attentive was the one that brought food from the kitchen. The avocado toast was exactly what it was. Nothing fancy. Toast with salty mashed avocado and some cheese. My cappuccino was barely lukewarm. Had to ask to get it warmed up in the microwave. The young man didn't seem very happy about it.”

Albina Press

“The staff at the counter were kind and explained their beverages well. The presentation of the drinks are very desirable and really draw you in. I thought mine looked pretty appealing. It didn’t taste as good as it looked though. But wasn’t bad by any means. For the price it’s worth it.”

“After a long day hunting Arlene's was all I could think about once I got back in my car! The food was amazing! My only complaint is I would have loved the chili on the chili burger to be like 3 degrees hotter (I know, so picky), but it was still delicious!”

Espresso Roma

“Well it’s one of those places that you’d probably hate but you keep going back to! The environment is very cozy and nice, beautiful artwork on the walls, but man o man.. there were egg shells on the floor, total messy counter.. half of the time some one would call: “Some thing something latte” and well you have to guess that is yours:/ we ordered 4 drinks one of which we got what we ordered for, rest were missing some thing! Though staff were super nice and friendly! I got a hot chocolate for my Mexican mocha😁 and the guy was like no no let me fix it and added a shot of espresso in there, and said does it taste cinnamon or did we forget that?🤣 the cherry danish was super awesome though! Cleanness: not so much! Service: nope Food: good People: nice Access: walking mostly”

Little T American Baker

“We got a box of pastries including a pound cake, croissants, and a scone. We loved each of them and will be coming back when the weather is better and we’re not walking back with a soggy rain-laden box. Looking forward to trying some breakfast options as well.”

Park Avenue Cafe

Open until 05:00 PM

1535 SW Park Ave, Portland, OR 97201, United States

“Such a charming, cozy cafe. I'm not generally a huge fan of cafes, I feel the market is flooded with them, but I'll consider this place an exception. You can tell even without reading it in the menu that everything is made in house. The pasta, the pastries, even the bread for your toast. The coffees are rich and beautiful. The salmon lox is delicious too. My favorite spot is next to the window underneath the Open sign so I get the mix of flora, wood, and a soft neon glow. Such a great place to relax.”
