Pause Cafe
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

3 Clinton St, New York, NY 10002, United States

“Visited this cafe and had a mixed experience. The coffee was excellent - strong and flavorful, but the shakshuka was disappointing even though it looks good ;( The overall vibe is wonderful, and despite the usual line, it moves quickly. The place is warm and inviting, although the tables are a bit too close together. I'd recommend it for a coffee, but perhaps not for breakfast.”

The Monkey Cup
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 03:30 PM

1965 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY 10026, United States

“ok... I can't comment on the food yet, but as Arnold would say... "I'll be back." Real chill vibe, nice owner, seemingly happy staff (I don't know for sure, but dude seems genuinely happy to work here). It's a great coffee experience, and more of the eventual change that's been coming to Harlem. Complaining about gentrification is like complaints about the sunrise. You can embrace, enjoy the light, and find ways to grow, or you can long for the restful night to continue. Things they are a changing.”

Bird & Branch
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Open until 07:30 PM

359 W 45th St, New York, NY 10036, United States

“Sharing one review but I’ve been to Bird & Branch multiple time so these are some of the photos from my various visits here. This is one of my favorite coffee places in NYC - it has a Japanese-fusion inspired menu and the drinks are named after birds. I love the creativity this place has put into their menu. They also rotate the drinks seasonally so the menu stays fresh. Although I don’t have a picture of it I highly recommend the iced passionfruit black tea during the summer -it’s a refreshing drink and not too sweet. The snowy owl and the mockingbird are definitely worth a try during the colder months. Their food menu is also really on point. I love the miso hummus toast -it’s like a vegan caprese toast and it’s delicious. The egg sandwich and the matcha square are also personal favorites of mine. Highly recommend this place!”

Remi Flower & Coffee
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

906 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10017, United States

“Remi Flower and Coffee is an absolute gem! This place is a sanctuary for the senses. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sight of vibrant blooms greet you. There are plenty tables inside and outside. Their lattes are pure artistry, not only bursting with flavor. They do particular flavors like Rose or Lavender (see picture). And the October touch? They served our lattes in pumpkin cups we brought! A delightful experience that marries taste, ambiance, and personal touch flawlessly.”

Ground Central Coffee Company
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

155 East 52nd Street, 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10022, United States

“Cool coffee shop with plenty of seating. The coffee was good, but the staff was not very friendly. Not mean. Just not friendly. They sell some food and teas. I came here in my search to find a good coffee shop to work in … not for me. It would be great for others but not for me. Why? Music is very loud and the wifi sucks. There is a small room in the back with couches that is quieter but it was hot and your the loud guy if you need to make a call. Now, making calls was not the issue, it was the bad wifi. If you need a coffee shop without wifi that is loud, this place is great. It is quaint and comfy with the couches and the old school look. Space - large with lots of seating Staff - not so friendly Prices - moderate to high Work - they welcome people to work on laptops.”

Kam Hing Coffee Shop
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 07:30 PM

118 Baxter St, New York, NY 10013, United States

“Came here after seeing the signs of best sponge cake in town and decided to give a try. Walking in you have to go straight past the door and will see the shop (with another door). The sponge cakes are $1.00 for the original and $1.25 for flavoured sponge cakes (such as pandan, ube, coconut and more). The sponge cakes are freshly made and a good snack size. They also serve coffee, lemon tea and other drinks at a reasonable price. Highly recommend giving this place a quick try if you’re in the Chinatown area.”

Cafe Patoro

“Such a cute bakery! Excellent Brazilian cheese bread and caramelized banana bread. The dulce de leche latte was also delicious. Highly recommend!”

“One of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The shop sells an edited menu of breakfast sandwiches along w salads, loafs, pastries and coffee. We had the pork belly & egg on a roll, as well as the mushroom/egg on toast. So good, can’t believe I’d never noticed this spot. It’s take out w some outdoor seating. There is a big line but goes quickly and they bring out sandwiches when ready.”

Seven Grams Caffe
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 07:00 PM

275 7th Ave, New York, NY 10001, United States

“Heard rave reviews about this place and was excited to check it out. Realized the downtown location isn't open on Sundays, so ended up at this 7th Ave location. Had the mocha and it was perfect. Didn't have to add sweetener. Also bought a chocolate chip cookie and I was AMAZING! So fresh and gooey! The chocolate is creamy. Both severs were super nice and the wait wasn't long. It's close to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) so it gets crowded pretty fast. Perfect place for coffee and a fresh pastries. Definitely recommend!”

Ole & Steen
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 07:00 PM

873 Broadway, New York, NY 10003, United States

“Nothing wrong with this place! Espresso drinks were solid and the pastries were fine as well. A little sweet and the pastry was not super flaky or texturally interesting, but enjoyable anyway. There are better pastry and coffee places in NYC, but this one is just fine! Odd praise, but I love the plates and the modern interior. Seems like this would be a nice place to do some work!”

Dawn's Til Dusk

Pennylane Coffee
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 06:00 PM

305 E 45th St, New York, NY 10017, United States

“This place makes the best mocha - flavourful of both coffee and cocoa despite being not sweet. The price is high but the atmosphere makes up for it, as the Cafe welcomes you with grand classical music most of the times. The service is quite fast and there is a point collection card in which you can get your 10th cup for free. I like their housemade matcha scone but wouldn't recommend its matcha latte because the taste of the matcha is too mild. The place is always very busy during 2.30 - 3.00 PM, which is towards the end of the UN lunch break. I recommend going at other times if you can. Otherwise, you will have to wait in a fairly long line and there won't be a place to sit.”

“We spent a long weekend trip in New York and came across this cute brunch/cafe shop 🤍 The Eggs Benedict here were the one of the best we have had. The flavours of the coffee are one of my personal favourites in New York City. The cafe was so cute and cozy! Definitely coming back to visit in my next trip back to New York!”

“This place is absolutely amazing!! Such a cute café vibe but bustling with energy and the food comes out extremely quick with friendly service From the moment you walk in, you already know you were going to have the most delicious brunch ever !! Everything is beautifully plated and has so much flavor. Not to mention, they have a million delicious options to choose from versus a lot of other places that just have basic brunch options. Definitely recommend this place 10 out of 10.”

Rebel Coffee

“We enjoyed popping in. The lattes we had were delicious. Little bit of a wait since there was only one woman working both cash and making the drinks. But all in all, worth a little wait. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.”

Paris Baguette

700 6th Ave, New York, NY 10010, United States

“Love this place. Upon walking in, you immediately smell the baked goods. The layout of the store is very spacious and flowy. My first time here, i was confused about what to do. I came in the afternoon and there were no trays. I also had no idea that you can walk around and grab your own items and you have to bring them to the register. Its like a cafeteria for sweets. I saw people on line with all of the stuff they were purchasing in their hands, so i went and grabbed some tissue paper and picked what i wanted. Its a little uncomfortable to do that. I felt like i needed tongs or utensils to grab the items. The second time i visited this store was in the morning and i still didnt see any trays. My third visit, had trays and this was in the afternoon. The tray did make it easier to carry the items. The prices here are pretty reasonable. Everything in NYC is expensive now a days so it's good to not see all the pastries priced at $10. The mini milk loafs are a favorite of mines and they are $4 almost $5. They have twist donuts with cinnamon sugar and those are huge and delish. Most of the items they have just look so good. I cant wait to continue trying them. They also have drinks here, salads, sandwiches (both bkft and lunch). This place always looks very clean and neat which i appreciate. The lines at the registers are always long and typically go fast. I really like this place and plan on continuing to visit.”

“Although it did feel like we were squished in there, it did fill up quickly, so I appreciate the need to keep good space. We shared Nutella French toast and it was fantastic. Also, love that you could have a glass of bubbly too.”
