The food was fresh and delicious - I had the cauliflower and prawn soup, and it was so smooth and yummy, seasoned perfectly. I had the honey parsnips on the side, and I took some home to enjoy the next day. The pasta my family ate looked delicious, and they had every bite. What a lovely lunch 💚”

The steak was perfectly cooked to our liking, and the sharing plates (including fries and salad) were the perfect amount. “What can I say more? If you want good pizza, this is it. I can’t fault it. The food is relatively affordable, compared to the usual prices you’ll pay for wood-fired pizza at other vineyards. The crust is cooked perfectly and the tomato base is sweet and juicy. The atmosphere is a relaxed vibe that reminds me of being out in Adelaide on a warm summer’s day. It’s not elitist and the servers are warm and welcoming. The drinks were also the best I had that day in Martinborough. The wine, particularly the chardonnay and rose were fantastic. However, I think the Italian Lager beats all the wine I tried.”

“Came here for a birthday lunch and what a surprise. The front has a typical country pub look with a casual dining and bar area but, this hides the fantastic function room and out back open seating area of a locally historic location. Out back is an area with picnic tables, veranda seating with a view over the river. Comes with a gentle walk to see the garden and fruit trees that supply seasonal food food for the restaurant. It's only an hour drive from Wellington but we'll worth the trip. I highly recommend visiting the Gladstone Inn.”

“This is a little hidden gem in Miramar. Good food, ambience and service for a party of 6. If you like Thai food, you have to go here. All the dishes were delicious. The only negative was that the roti felt like it was a paratha out of a packet and not the Thai roti you generally get at Thai restaurants.”

“They were very busy and when I arrived I had to wait about 20 mins after the booked time got a table. I was hungry so was probably a little grumpy about this. The food and wines were excellent. Probably due to business the service was ok. Generally very friendly but with a tasting menu I think it’s important to explain the dishes and not just plonk them down which happened with the majority of courses. Despite this, I would go again if ever in Wellington as the food was very well cooked and presented.”
