“Romantic & life shattering. It was like taking a step back in time. Adorable cottage backdrop admist a wide range of delectable breakfast selections. I had a London Fog Tea with a vegetarian grilled cheese special that came with chips & a salad, complimentary of the chefs. Yes, the food hit the spot & the atmosphere was delightfully charming, but as I was taking in all senses, I was suddenly hit by a 6th. It's not the first time my psychic senses have been activated, but it was my first time having this experience betwixt the throes of a meal. The taste of the food, the original hardwood floors, the cheery kitchen staff - it all triggered a vast array of past life memories to flood my mind. I shook so wildly I unintentionally tossed my drink over the side of the loft in which I was sitting. Patrons who witnessed this moment claimed I was running through multiple languages in a span of seconds as I cried out in pain remembering the stories of lives I'd left behind. Flashes of heartbreaking visions blinded my mind. Charise, the time I was a young girl who passed in the arms of my lover after he had unintentionally shot me in a saloon in the wild west. Garder, the life I lived as a fearless womanizing Sailor in the harbors of old England. "Chet-pa", one of my most tragic lives as an ancient oracle who was endlessly mocked for his nose size in a time before humans were ever concerned with what year it was. All of this, rushing through my veins & interrupting my nervous system on every level. I screamed with the pain of a mother losing 1,000 children. I laughed with the heart of a clown entertaining a million person crowd. I spewed bodily fluids with the power of two colliding locomotives with an endless turbo drive powered by the space time continuum itself. A full body orgasm; the ultimate heartbreak. How many lives? “Uncle mikes has been my favorite bakery since I moved to Wisconsin. On my last trip I picked out 6 cookies for my 3 year olds birthday. She put them in a box with a cake plate and I super appreciated that. Because of how well she packed them helped me with the birthday presentation. I feel like they would have usually been thrown in a bag. It turned out super perfect. Thank you!”

“I've been to this store a few years back, but this visit was in their new location. Same quality candies and ice cream in a fancier shop. Sampled a couple of ice cream flavors (I think they carry Cedar Crest brand, which has amazing ice cream!) and had a fun time picking different chocolates and candies to try. Will definitely stop by again!”

“Really, it's a well run store. Great meat dept, produce, and deli depts also are truly stand alone in comparison to Kroeger, Walmart or Meijer chain's run of the mill, heavily processed, mass produced product offerings. Love the old-fashioned hot deli bar. Great selection of wine, craft beer, and liquor also. The center store grocery area is always well stocked and nicely merchandised. If I could offer any criticism, and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars here is, it gets to be really expensive if you shop here for your everyday type groceries. Even the sales and rewards programs dont offer much relief.”

“One of my favorite places in Door County! The store has excellent treats that you can purchase. Don’t forget to do the cherry pit spit - ask an employee for cherries to use. The flights are so delicious. The cherry strudel sticks are SO GOOD!!! There is outdoor seating. They sometimes have live music and food trucks here. A must visit on your trip to Door County.”

“Updated review: this place is still amazing. We make a day out of coming here, and buy extras to bring home. This is literally the best bakery I've been to in multiple states. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. As a Celiac, finding a delicious, dedicated gluten free bakery is life changing. I had my first crossiant in 4 years and it was everything I had hoped for. My daughter has a scone she also really enjoyed. The service is also really amazing. Everyone was so kind. They were genuinely happy to talk to us. When I mentioned we were going to the zoo, they gave us directions which helped me too. I live in Waukesha where we lack in gluten free bakery options, and I very well may come back on my next day off of work for more.”

That said, I had the wrap sans the turkey. Still delicious, though. It came with a side of nice kettle chips that could be substituted with a side salad for a bit more. Overall, great lunch. Nice outdoor seating in back!”
