“It was a fabulous dinner! We had: sea robin with mussels, fritto misto with branzino & calamari, gnocchi with truffles, tahitian vanilla ice cream with caramelized pumpkin seeds & eggnog, tiramisu and of course some drinks. The food was delicious, only the tiramisu was "fair enough". The service was very attentive and kind. They took a lot of time to explain the different options of grilled fish for us. They tried very hard to find a lactose free alternative for dessert for me (besides sorbet), even asked in their other restaurant (El Gaucho) what they have on the menu. The only little minus: we would have drunk more, if the service would have let us / would have been a little bit quicker with the drinks. If you are into fish, if you don't mind spending money, if you like that little "extra" service and enjoy a really nice atmosphere in the old town of Graz: El Pescador is definitely the right place for you to go!”

“Wrong labelled for vegan or vegetarians. Vegetarian do not eat fish. The allergies letters are not labelled on the menu. The soup has been served with shrimps inside while it was mentioned vegetarian. The vegetarian curry has been served with fried fish (not mentionned in the menu). This is really annoying that in 2023, named Restaurants are not able to propose decent vegan options.”

“We found Torona a little by accident after walking around Graz on a Sunday evening having trouble finding somewhere to have dinner. We'd actually walked past yesterday and had loved the look of the old building and atmosphere but assumed it would be out of our price range Hands down, the BEST place we've had a meal in Austria!! I had the seafood paella and my husband had the beef, mushroom and potato skewer with accompaniments. Both meals were generously sized (I'm a big eater but couldn't finish my paella) and delicious. Beautifully presented, also. The beef skewer was cooked pefectly. Super tender and seared just right. I had two glasses of savingnon blanc and my husband had two large beers. Both very nice. The man who served us was friendly and welcoming, with a wry sense of humour. The meals and drinks came out quickly and professionally. There was a couple of large groups of diners in the restaurant and only one waiter, but this didn't slow things down at all. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. Lovely lighting in a warm basement section with windows. The total bill was about $40 Euro. Far less than we've paid at mediocre restaurants with questionable service. We didn't have dessert (too full from our mains), but the desserts other people had ordered all looked delicious. Can't recommend highly enough.”
