“We came here to the restaurant for a birthday lunch and loved the hotel, grounds and food. Great atmosphere in the restaurant too, even though we came for quite a late lunch on a Friday (around 15h). The food was nice, we shared the parsnips with blue cheese as a starter, in my opinion there wasn't enough blue cheese there, I could rarely taste it. For mains we had the venison meatballs and the steak, both were quite nice. For dessert we shared the chocolate terrine which was super smooth and divine. A great collection of wines too.”

“My Mrs ordered me a cake for 1.30pm collection (25/1/24). When I went to collect the cake at 2pm and the cake wasn't even ready and i was told to wait about 20 mins for the cake to be ready as the shop Internet weren't working. I have been a regular customer of egg free cake box Gravesend branch almost from the day one and we get a cake box every month if not definitely every other month ( i just love their cake) and i can tell if the Victoria sponge cake base is FRESH or NOT. On this occasion the Victoria sponge cake wasn't fresh and i have experienced it in past as well where the sponge cake wasn't fresh and must have been couple of days old but i never complained or left a feed back. I MUST SAY I LOVE CAKE BOX and i hope I won't experience the issue again.”

“I visited Wildwood with my family and found the experience to be mixed. The location and Tudor building were beautiful, but the service had its ups and downs. Some staff were attentive, while others lacked finesse. Fast service and accommodation despite being almost fully booked were positives. Did not liked situation that when we asked for napkins, waitress brought bunch and tossed these in the middle of the table. The food was slightly above average, but the steak wasn't cooked to our liking, and the ribs were a bit tough. Drinks, especially cocktails, were disappointing, being overly watery with unbalanced ingredient quantities. Very watery Aperol Spritz, and yes, I know after is one of the ingredients, but way too much of it. The atmosphere had an 'eat quick and go' vibe, with a peculiar music mix (Motley Crue) that didn't match the overall ambiance. Clean toilets were a plus, though expected early in the night. While we might consider revisiting, it wouldn't be solely for a great experience.”

“Wow wow wow, what a beautiful hidden gem. We had the fish croquettes , tuna and salmon sashimi, beef burger and the fish curry . I personally, could not fault it. The fish was melt in the mouth . And it was such a pretty plate of food. Only one slight criticism , my partner said the burger is so loaded that it needed a bigger firmer bun and a stick to hold it together. As it wasn’t easy to hold and eat. But otherwise delicious and hearty. The Staff were friendly and attentive . And I loved the decor in there too. Especially the bar top. And the lobster 🦞 Thank you for having us. We are definitely coming back.”

“I ordered fish and chips, and to say l was very disappointed at the food portion size would be an understatement, at £19 l was at least expecting to see more of the food cover the plate than the plate itself. Same with the lamb meal at £26. At first, we thought they gave us the children’s meals, but no it was ours, took me less than two minutes and l was icking it out to finish my fish and chips. Way overpriced for what we got. True it was the la carte menu we choose from as we wasn’t offered any other type of menu. La carte is a poor excuse for small. Fish and chips from the local fish the next night made up for the disappointment.”

“KFC app is linked with Deliveroo and when KFC forgot to add the wings to the order they told me to take up with Deliveroo (even though I ordered through KFC app). Staff was rude and said they will add it to my next order, even though I told them I don't have food now since the rest was for my kids. Deliveroo had no intention to pick up the remainder of the order and will only refund me over the next 5-7 days. Disgusted in KFC Beaver Road and Deliveroo customer service. A restaurant should take ownership where they make a mess of the orders.”
