It had all the signs of a “hole-in-the-wall with great food”…(Small place, kind of run down, “cash preferred” sign at the register & the place was busy)…I had high hopes of discovering a delicious banh mi…Sadly, that was not the case -#13 Grilled pork w/lemongrass banh mi. Looked great with fresh made baguette. Bread was average & overall oddly flavlorless sandwich…even the pickled vegies = 5.4/10 -Steamed meatball bun (pass) = 4.8/10 -Iced Viet Coffee (average at best)= 6.1/10 I haven’t given up on this place yet, and will come back to try some of the baked goods…they have a ton of options! 🤞those are better than the above items…”

“This is the kind of place you can bring anyone to for an enjoyable meal. The interior is very nice while the vibe still feels welcoming and casual. The food is made with a lot of care, without being pretentious. The service was very friendly and attentive—when a dish was eaten, the plate would be cleared almost immediately. It’s a great place for a date night or for a group or family outing. As far as food, everything we had was good. We were impressed by how perfect the Belgian-style fries were. The garlic bread is a must, my husband loved the rigatoni (and he has high standards for pasta and Italian sausage), the steak was perfectly cooked and was accompanied by an elegantly prepared root vegetable gratin, and the roast chicken was juicy and flavorful. I was craving French onion soup, which was tasty — though my preference would have been to use baguette for the crouton, give it more cheese and broil longer so it could have more of a crust. But that is all personal preference—it was still delicious and I enjoyed eating it. We were too stuffed to try dessert but will definitely be back.”

“Phenomenal food. Seriously, this is a must try restaurant. The hummus was creamy, the salmon was cooked to perfection, the felafels were divine. Even the basmati rice alone was delicious. The service was a bit slow and not the friendliest but there was only guy working. I imagine he was a bit stressed. Overall, it was an amazing dinner and I would definitely recommend it. I am sure we will return.”

“There are too many good things to say about Gracie’s. My man Craig is out here pouring his heart and soul into beautiful food, and it shows. My spouse and I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the new space, and it’s absolutely beautiful. A good size of indoor and outdoor seating, lovely decor and fun personal touches. The quality of the food is excellent. Craig goes out of his way to source fresh, innovative ingredients and crafts them into gorgeous pies. The dough is prepared so well, and the pies cook beautifully in the wood fired oven. I highly recommend trying the daily pie, they’re always fun, delicious and creative. The tomato pie is probably my favorite, it’s simple, classic, and so tasty. There is also homemade ice cream, appetizers, and great wine selections. I think the thing I appreciate the most about Gracie’s, other than the great quality of the food, is that everything is done with genuine love and attention. It’s a staple in the St. John’s community and I love that the space cultivates that. Yes, you’ll probably have to wait an hour for your food when it’s busy, but it’s worth it to me. Every time we’ve gone it’s been consistently tasty.”

“Spectacular. Sebastiano's is a bit quirky - a small selection of sandwiches, a small selection of prepackaged items (marmalade, olive oil, salt), a small selection of baked goods, and only open at lunchtime 4 days a week (Wed - Sat). Also appearing at the neighborhood farmer's market down the street on Sundays. The good news is that it's completely worth having to remind yourself to check the calendar and the clock to visit these wonderful people. There were two of us on my recent visit. We split that day's sandwich special - a Sebastiano's Hoagie, and it rivalled anything I ever had growing up on the East Coast. We also split a fantastic rustic fruit tart, and each had a wonderfully cold Italian lager. Another of the quirks was walking up to the dutch door out front, checking out the posted menu and the goodies on display in the window, ordering, and then walking out back to the festive patio seating set up in a corner of the parking lot. Not a typical dining experience, but I wouldn't miss it for the world.”
