“Came here with friends.... Been wanting to stop by and try their donuts. Painted Dough did not disappoint! Great selection. Great staff! Staff was helpful and accommodating with any of our needs. Painted Dough has gluten free option. Painted Dough had a great vibe about it. Stopped about 10 am on a Saturday. There was adequate parking. My only issue was there was not any place to sit and eat. We sat on the pony wall out front. Stop by and Ask for Joanna, she very helpful. Brought home 4 donuts for the wife that were gluten free. Boxed then up individually to not ruin my selections. Since I was riding my Harley.”

“I’ve never had a poke bowl, this was nearby my eyebrow place so I gave it a shot! It is definitely worth the hype, they are always busy for a reason! The fish tastes good, their topping options are great. They have a good range of sauces! Their portions are definitely reasonable! If you look up other poke places you won’t find the same portions for this price! This is perfect to eat on a hot day.”

“I'm not one for Americana roadhouses but we were in the area and we were hungry, and I liked the variety on their menu, so we came in. I'm glad I did, because it was a great experience! The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, so we had our choice of seating. The waitress was friendly and helpful with her suggestions on pairings, and was clearly knowledgeable about the menu. The food was the highlight of the experience. I ended up ordering one of the lunch specials — two sliders with crisscross Cajun fries — which came out on juicy double patties layered with gooey cheese. My sibling ordered their famous Bang Bang Chicken, which was so fun to eat: tender, flavorful, and dare I say, bouncy. I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone, because I would've missed this place otherwise.”

“Stopped here for breakfast prior to heading for the zoo a few blocks away. Besides donuts, you can also get breakfast sandwiches, burritos and bagels. The burrito and bagels were tasty and we ate them at the covered seating outside the store. We ate the donuts later and all choices were good (pineapple fritter was huge). Place was busy in the morning but service was quick.”

“The cakes here look beautiful, but are dry and taste like burnt pans. I got the Marble, Rainbow, and Raspberry Lemon cakes for my husbands birthday. The buttercream tasted awful on the Rainbow and Marble Cake. The best thing about the Raspberry Lemon cake was the mousse which had a hint of lemon flavor to it...a hint. I also tried a chocolate creampuff that had no flavor at all, no chocolate, no cream, no pastry. My daughter had a mango chocolate tart which she said tasted nothing like mango and the chocolate tasted like chemicals. I gave 2 stars for presentation but it's definitely a 0 for flavor and cost. The staff was nice but they weren't 100% confident as to what ingredients were in the cakes/cupcakes. I wanted to love this place so bad, but I wish I had listened to the other poor reviews!”

“Open late and they have a swamp cooler. It was cool inside. I had carne asada torta and bottle of coke. Meat was flavorful and sandwich was good! My wife had Tuesday Taco Special with beans and rice and a bottle of coke. The dining room was small and wasn’t crowded, there were other customers. The staff were friendly! We enjoyed our experience!!”

“I think I've found my new favorite donut shop, too bad I live over 2 hours away. I was headed out to the river for the weekend and we decided we wanted to grab some donuts on our way and Barstow was the last full size town before we made it to our destination, so we typed up donuts in our navigation and just chose the most convenient location. No thought went into our decision but it was the best decision we could have made. We ordered a bacon ham egg and cheese sandwich, a banana cream donut, a bear claw and a maple bacon. The bear claw was oily, but the filing was awesome, so I'm hoping it was a fluke. The banana cream wasn't overly sweet and the maple bacon was perfect. What I also really appreciated about these donuts is they were slightly smaller than what I'm used to but I'll take that as a plus - they didn't leave me feeling stuffed or guilty or in a sugar coma. The breakfast sandwich was the winner of the meal though. It tasted so good, the croissant was warm and flaky, it was perfect. We've already decided next drive up, this is where we are getting breakfast.”

“We had our staff Xmas party here and it was great. Their chips and salsa were great, we had the flavorful green salsa. We went during happy hour and I had the chorinachos 10/10. Other people had the spicy wings 7/10 and other items. Their mango chamoy margarita was good 8/10, you didn’t taste the tequila at all. Good for people who do not like tequila and want to drink. Our party arrived at 4 and left at 10:30pm. People were dancing, there was live music, lots of drinking and it was great. Only recommendation is that they lower a bit the music that way we can also talk amongst ourselves when there is no live music happening. The waiters were super friendly. I will definitely go back and try their molcajete.”
