“I visited later around closing time and despite this the lady at the register was very friendly and accommodating. Their butter croissants tend to lean on the sweeter side but still very flaky and have a great butter flavour (see cross section photo). I would argue one of the best croissants in Thornhill. Everything else I tasted showed that there was a lot of care and attention put into the making of these. The box it came in is beautiful as well, whether you are coming in to purchase as a gift or for yourself I would recommend Lumiere.”

“Came in for some freshly deep fried donuts to cheer the kids up, and it’s not disappointing. The donuts were made in front of me and 4 flavors to choose from. The owner is super nice and explained the deal to me : Buy 3 dozen donuts and get the fourth dozen donuts free. It’s hot and fresh, only thing is too much sugar for me, next time will ask for less flavour sugar on donuts.”

“A cute local find that offers a fantastic variety of seafood that was cooked wonderfully. There was 4 of us dining in, ready and eager to fill our empty hungry stomachs. We started off with two dozen oysters of assorted varieties and their lobster and seafood chowder. I have to say, if you gave us a pot of this soup with a full size baguette, we still would have walked out of there happy. Our main dishes consisted of the mix grill, fish tacos, lobster ravioli and the spicy tomato steamed mussels. The table got very quiet, very quickly...it was delicious! The only item on one plate that was less than desirable was a small piece of fish that didn't quite appeal to anyone's pallette. Not sure what kind it was but it was definitely NOT the salmon because the salmon was great. Let's talk service. Sadly this is where the restaurant fell short. By the time we received our meals, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Granted it was a Sunday evening but given the circumstances, we could not quite understand why we had to flag down the waiter every time we needed something. He was friendly and polite. He was accurate and impressive with his ordering skills but just wasn't attentive. The restaurant itself was simple and comfortable. Well lit, linen tablecloths and very clean... EXCEPT the woman's restroom. The floor was wet with discolored liquid due to a leak in the ceiling. Not sure how recent this was but definitely something that needs addressing. Thankfully I went after my meal and not before or during. Overall, the food will definitely bring us back and hopefully the minor issues are improved.”

Everything I've had here was amazing. They have daily breads of the day. Aaron is always great. We also came here on New year's Eve before they were closing and saw that they were donating a good amount to charity. It made me like this place even more. Edit: the last few times I've gone in a young lady has been somewhat rude and impatient, not giving me a chance to look around and continuously demanding "anything else?...is that it?". I went in on Jan 6 (afternoon) and literally was in and out of the store in less than a minute because she was so snappy and impatent. It's too bad as I would have likely bought a lot more had I not be rushed. I'm reducing my initial score for this.”

“Awesome bakery with an amazing variety of baked goods. Located in Markham, I enjoyed this place just after the pandemic and thought it would be great to check it out again. Though I missed the Coconut Macaroons that I especially liked, I was able to buy Coconut Tarts that satisfied my coconut cravings. I would have loved to shop for more but they were closing already. The sales person, perhaps the owner herself, gave me a cookie as I was leaving, begging me to come back soon. What a wonderful thing to do! That's how you treat your customers!”
