“Delicious food and beautiful decor!!!! We just happened to find this place by chance after apple picking at a nearby farm. We were pleasantly surprised! We were seated immediately and they were able to accommodate our party of five easily. There is a children’s menu - that offers great finger foods. My husband and I were blown away by how tasty our meal was! My son had a grilled chicken Cesar salad and with corn bread croutons. My son didn’t appreciate the sweet flavor from the croutons and felt that they didn’t compliment the salad well. I felt the croutons were delicious and I would have loved to have them sprinkled on top of a nice bowl of savory chili! Our salmon was superb and the jasmine rice was also delicious! We definitely want to eat here again! This place has an “at home” feeling. I would definitely make a reservation again - great venue for a baby shower or other family gathering. I believe they can host parties/ group gathering here as well!!!”

“Tavern 292 is the epitome of casual eateries. The atmosphere is relaxed, warm, and welcoming. Great crowd at the bar and the tables inside the restaurant were packed. And after trying the food, I now know why. Started out with a mighty generous portion of nachos that tasted even better after each bite. The toppings were well proportioned and did not conflict with each other. After that, I had a most excellent fish and chips. Golden brown and not greasy—couldn’t have asked for anything better. Crispy exterior with a flavorful interior. Awesome place to go on a date or just hang with friends.”

“Stopped in after doing wine tasting at Tomasello Winery and it was just what we needed. Somewhere close to eat and recharge before heading out. Staff was very polite and friendly. It was small but clean and food came out fast. It’s good if you are looking for quick fast food. It’s also byob which was great. There were some tables outside by the lake but i don’t particularly like wooden tables. I had a lobster roll and it was good cold sandwich had lots of big pieces of lobster meat it was pretty tasty. The roll was grilled with butter which made it even better. Onion rings were standard crunchy and tasty. Mozzarella sticks were standard but good and came out quick we were able to enjoy while waiting on food order. Definitely would stop back in for a quick bit if ever in the area again.”

“Stopped by for an early dinner tonight with no reservation. No problem, they seated us immediately in the dining room. Impressive building with an 1,800 gallon fish tank separating the bar area. It was well kept with beautiful fish, a good sign. We skipped cocktails on a Tuesday and went for a 3 course meal. Started with Hot and Sour soup, which was excellent. Lots of content and tasted great. We also had a sushi roll opting for the Romance Roll. Tuna, salmon, wrapped around rice in the shape of hearts, it was a work of art and delicious, exceeding our expectations. Definitely order again. For dinner, we got two dishes to share. First was a special Singapore Mei Fun with shrimp. Nice thin rice noodles and listed as gluten-free. It's just had a hint of spice. Second was Chicken Blosom served with white rice. Again, just a hint of spice. I would get it hotter next time. Overall, the service was very good, the food was excellent and the restaurant had a fun atmosphere. We will be going back, maybe to try Hibachi next time.”

“A go to spot with just a couple people or a big group of friends. I've done both many times and it's always fun for all at sometimes times together together year. They have plenty of outdoor seating, covered and uncovered. If you want to do a wine tasting or sit inside, I definitely recommend making reservations especially with the nicer weather. I appreciate that they let you bring your own snacks. They also have a cute upstairs area for private parties. On the weekends they'll also have a Peruvian (I think) food truck which I've tried once and was very good. Overall should recommend!”

“Great local place. The blackened chicken salad is popular, and we crave it often. All of their salads are very good. We've also gotten the veggie burger here which is good though a little strange on the thin bun, but can be swapped with a regular bun too. We recently ate in and enjoyed the onion rings. They were perfectly crispy, not too oily, and the onion didn't slide out of it. The fish and chips, crispy chicken tacos and the pork dish were all good. It's a casual place but one we gravitate back to.”

“This place has such a great American gastropub / sports bar vibe. I loved all the carved initials and names all over the walls! The menu is simple. Everything you would want in an American gastropub, you can find here. The cocktails were 50/50. Some were great, most were pretty average. I would not recommend getting a speciality cocktail. The clam chowder was also a split decision. One person enjoyed it, the other passed and ordered the French onion soup, which was better. The ribs were soft, and saucy. They were one of the best things we ordered. Pass on the fish and chips, they are a greasy mess. The garlic mashed potatoes, forgot the garlic. Also, a pass. Both burgers were great, I would highly recommend them as a choice. Personally, I ordered the rib eye salad. It was very good and a generous portion. It has so much steak! The desserts were not worth it. Pass on those. Overall, I love the vibe. If I were to return, it would be to have a standard cocktail at the bar and a burger, nothing more.”

“We just finished dinner here at this well known Speedwell Avenue eatery. We were a group of ten and our dinner service was handled quite well. There were two small negative surprises; one was that they limited the number of separate checks we could request, and there were some lower cost specials that were not available to our group due to its size. Both seemed to me to be unnecessary. Nonetheless, the food was enjoyed by all and our server was very pleasant. The only negative, other than the two items already mentioned, was the restaurant is full of hard surfaces that echos conversation to the point that you can’t even hear someone talking at your own table. Once you add the volume of sound from the bar the dining room is very loud indeed. If I go back, it will be in an off hour to avoid the noise. If you don’t mind the cacophony this restaurant might be for you.”

If you’ve never been here before - slow down and pull in at the car wash it’s sandwiched in the middle of the building and can be difficult to find.”
