“The food was flavorful and the vibes was nice for a hangout with friends. We were one of the few people there tho so I’m not sure what it’s like if the place is busy. Loved the makgeolli drinks they had. One downside is the blender. It was the loudest blender we’ve ever heard of and it could easily disrupt any conversation you have if you sit near the bar.”

“That day arriving there it was cold and quiet . A lady serviced us . she was kind and let me try a draft beer which was strong so what was available was rose as far as wine but others was available anyways the chicken was good because seasoned and well done and the honey mustard sauce was delicious. I figured switch sauces for the two types of chicken and would be better . A nice quick bit before going to nj but I would come again ; would want extra sauce .as well it’s hard getting chicken wings nowadays you would be surprised in nyc .”

“After touring the New York Public Library (a must-see!!!), my guest & I grabbed lunch at Bryant Park Café. Outside seating was shaded with great views of the park & passers-by. Our server was courteous, efficient & attentive. I really enjoyed the BBQ Pork Slider with fries. While lunch prices were high (even for New York), I figure you're paying for the view & ambiance. And as a tourist, you're going to splurge anyway. So yes, I'd eat here again.”

“I went in pretty late (for food). The bar across my alley, the Irish punt, had closed their kitchen at 8 so they sent me to the the shilling. The shilling closes their kitchen at 10pm. The Irish punt highly recommended the shilling and I was not disappointed. The snack I had was served quickly and with a smile. Colum at the bar was really helpful. I’ll be back. I can’t wait to try their other food, which all looks delicious”

“The Karekare is amazing and way better than Max. The sauce was perfect thick and delicious and the meat was fork tender. It was not the usual ox tail with tripe recipe but I actually liked it better. I like how the veggies were not mixed into the sauce. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes.”

“We had our brunch in Slava today . Food was mouthwatering , tasty and presentation was great . We get almost every item in the menu . All the pastas are homemade, cooked to perfection. Whole entire experience teleporting you to that summer days in your grandma’s village . Cocktails are solid , infused vodkas it’s such a “Ukrainian Way” of welcoming your guests ! Service was warm and attentive. Our server Natalia was on point and professional, bartender was friendly and gave us some back story of the place . Thanks for bringing taste and hospitality of Ukraine to NYC. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back for dinner and night lounging :-)”

Overall, it was a good experience, but for the price I expected better food.”

For dishes, we got small galbi with spicy cold noodles, potato soup감자탕. Potato soup was delicious, but the meat inside was still kinda hard, not easy to bite. So did potatoes. Galbi was slightly sweet. Soft. Spicy cold noodles were delicious, chewy. But there was only radish and cucumber inside.”
