“Found this restaurant by chance. We were going to Ottawa from Montreal. It is located in a gas station next to a depanneur and a Subway. Stopped to fill gas and decided to check Souvlaki Authentic out. The restaurant was very clean and the waitress was great. We ordered gyros in a pita and the dolmadakia. The food was very good. We enjoyed it a lot and pleasantly surprised.”

“This is a great spot in downtown Joliet. Awesome atmosphere especially in the outside patio. Our server Christopher was very accommodating. He had a lot of tables and worked very hard. “Had a delicious lunch here- great find I had ribs with cowboy sauce ( full rack 24$ was huge and sauce was tangy and tasty ), my wife had the lunch special. Food came hot and quickly and was reasonably priced. Bathrooms were spotless and updated. The Dugout beer on tap is brewed by sleemans and was cold and refreshing, also a bargain at 5.31 for a pint.”

“Order : Half tandoori chicken: it's so good. Spices are subtle but perfect. The chicken wasn't over cooked. Comes with this beet salad, lemon wedges and chutney. 5/5 Butter Chicken: not spicy at all. Good dish for those challenged with that. The chicken was so tender. The gravy (curry) was tomato goodness. You will love it. Portion size is better then most Indian restaurants. 5/5 Veggie Biryani: it was ok. The rice was a bit clumpy. The carrots were a turn off. Biryanis are usually fluffy with all grains accounted for. Tasty enough. Small Raita with it. 3/5 Lamb Kabobs: You get 4 in dish. Spices were spot on. A bit over done, just a bit. You will still love it. Not as juicy as it could be. Served with chutneys that are amazing. 4/5 2xNaan. 5/5. Very tasty. Complimentary papadums. Crispy! 5/5 Prices online are wrong on their website. They are $3-$4 more. Be warned. Will definitely go again. The interior is so pretty. $95 including tax and tip for above. Served 4 people no problem.”

“Three of us stopped in for a late lunch. I had been here a lot when I was younger, but mostly got drinks. The ambience hasn’t changed, it even seemed warmer. The beer was cold and the lunch was hot. We ordered Traditional Fish and Chips, Roast Beef Stuffed Yorkie and I had a Coach Burger. All orders came in a timely fashion, hot and tasty. Although I’ve never had dinner here, I would recommend it for lunch.”

“Went in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. Google Maps somehow took us to the back of the restaurant & we had to come all the way to the front. Service was impeccable and warm. The waitress was the sweetest person that we met in a while. Had the sole with almonds and fettuccine Alfredo with shrimps. Both the sea food items were fresh and the sole consistency was just perfect. And you have to order the home fries as a side. They are just something by themselves. The pasta didn't look like much but I had changed my opinion by the end of my meal. The portions are worthy for the price you pay. Lovely place that we would love to visit again to try some more items on the menu.”

“Great Korean food. Been here total 3 times, once for lunch. Everytime the food has been great. Just a few caveats. 1. Seating is tight for larger groups and bigger people like myself 2. They have this purple rice that is totally ok, I just prefer the usual white or option for white 3. For lunch specials, not too many options. Literally just 2 But to the good parts, even though the meat is not unlimited like at other k grills, your really not missing out as you get more than enough and I can eat a lot. The sides are unlimited which are all delicious Staff has always been friendly and timely with requests.”

“Interesting take on Korean fusion. I highly recommend the Bulgogi chopped cheese and the duck fried rice. As a Korean, I absolutely loved these and the fried rice was sooo flavourful when usually I find at most restaurants , bland. I would skip the wings as they just purely tasted like gochujang and felt like I can make them at home. Keep in mind you’ll most likely wait on the weekend ( no resos) but the guy at the front , not sure if he’s the manager, was absolutely great, and kept things entertaining.”

“Best (maybe only) lobster grilled cheese I've ever had. I don't know how I've never been here before. Glad to see you open and will definitely be here on a regular basis. So day #2 in a row, the chicken supreme is absolutely amazing! Not looking forward to when this place gets busy like it was know for. Walk in at 8 get a seat and your food comes in 15 minutes. Also recommend the House Salad, Roasted Brussel sprouts (really nice kick to them) and the Grilled Cubano Sandwich. Yes I have eaten all of the above since they reopened!! OMG the seafood tagliatelle is phenomenal!”

“Stopped by with the family to dine in on a late Saturday afternoon. Very relaxed atmosphere during these off hours, though it gets quite lively at night. Ordered a variety of skewers, two hotpots (crayfish and chicken). Very delicious, and considering the style of food, was surprisingly not too greasy. Very impressed by the flavour, as North-Eastern Chinese cuisine have a tendency to get bombed by salt and cumin when not done well. The flavours were savoury but not salty, robust without being overbearing.”
